Overall the property was nice, however, this is not a 5 star resort as far as USA standards. When we first arrived we were forced to sit down for an hour long time share tour which we kept saying we didn’t want to do but we felt obligated, as the staff just kept insisting. It was very odd and frustrating, especially when you know you cannot afford it. At first glance the facilities are nice, however, if you look for more than a few seconds you can see tiles are loose, paint is patched poorly, fixtures are crooked, and it seems like everything was purchased at IKEA. Our room door handle kept falling off and at one point we couldn't leave our room, and the staff took hours to come and fix it. We also had hairs all over the room which were not ours, and it looked like dead bug stains on the sheets. We were also told if we lost our room bracelets we would need to pay $150 for each bracelet lost; this is tough because you go on excursions so it gives you anxiety about losing them. You also need to pay if you lose your beach towel. Beach is very rocky and shallow, you can’t swim. The staff are only nice if you tip them and they expect tips for literally everything. So many times the bar tenders looked annoyed when you ordered a drink. There was one bartender at the sports bar who was wonderful and made sure the sports team we liked was on every night which was wonderful. Overall though the people seemed rude and did not really want to help you. I had fun but would not go back.

Absolutely beautiful resort with excellent staff who helped me out a lot. I was travelling alone trying to meet up with my family on a cruise ship in Jamaica and they made me feel very safe.

I will give my review on this property as an experienced traveler over the years to many resorts from Montego Bay, to Runaway Bay. The Lobby is huge and you get the feel of something special awaiting you once you check in. The hotel is fairly new and the grounds are clean and well kept. The rooms are ok and large enough to accommodate four people. The room presentation was good but upon closer inspection and me being a building contractor I could easily see where flaws. The rooms may have been a rush job to complete thereby less attention to finer details that stands out once your eyes get adjusted. The rooms were however comfortable enough to enjoy. The major issue is with the staff which mostly comprises of women who all seem to be unprofessional and not well trained in interpersonal skills and hospitality. For the most part they never smile and seem to have a defensive stance even when you ask them a simple question. Most seem like they didn't want to be there at all. They barely went through the motion of providing any good service. I felt like I was getting a 2 star treatment at the cost of a 4 star resort. What made it worst is that I opt for the prestige package but regretted it in the long run. I was assigned a Butler and the first day we met was the last day I saw her. Other hotels offer better overall service for less and tend to have a basic cultural rule of conduct. Ocean Coral Spring doesn't seem to have a distinctive rule of conduct for their staff.

Fantastic Venue!
I booked this particular hotel because of the Ten Pin Bowling. My daughter loves bowling and we had a fantastic time. We played three games before she agreed to leave. She also loves food and that was in abundance. All the staff sang happy birthday to her and made her day. Big up the Martha’ Restaurant evening crew on Sunday and Monday night. Still waiting for the “Sugar Cane” restaurant to open, so we could sample their food. The Ocean Coral Spring was very clean except for the lift. The lift we used to get to our room looked ancient and could only hold 3 people. We enjoyed the “Lazy River”, excellent fun especially for young people. My favourite was the live band. I didn’t want it to end. The entertainment was great also. We got there on a Michael Jackson tribute night, excellent. We didn’t make it to the disco, because we were too tired. Wished this hotel was around when my children were little, because there’s so much fun for kids also.

Let me start by saying that we are frequent out of country all inclusive travelers. As for Jamaica, we’ve stayed at Secrets Wild Orchid, Iberostar Grand, Iberostar Suites, Secrets St James, and the Hyatt in Montego Bay. The first night we went to use the pull out sofa in our room. It was filthy. You could tell it had not been opened in a while and had been wet for a while. We closed it up and there was a good bit of debris left on the floor. It was already late so we let it go for the night. The next morning, we left the please make up room hanger on our door, but did not receive any house keeping. My parents received house keeping next to us, but were left with ONE towel for the two of them. That evening I went to the front desk before supper (6:30) and asked for towels and the floor to be swept, the rest could wait for the next day. When we got back to our room (10pm), nothing had been done. We asked the guys in the mini bar stocking area if they could find a broom and we’d sweep the room ourselves. They did bring us towels at nearly 11 and said housekeeping had already gone and locked up. The next day the housekeeper argued with me about it. Towels consistently were an issue. We got one towel for the three of us. When we’d call the front desk, they’d ask well how many did you need? The towels at the pool would run low and the lady would refuse to give them out to avoid having to go get more. Often times she’d be asleep when we went over to the room to get towels.

I paid extra for an ocean view. I asked the front desk and they told me I had a partial view which is the same. I disagreed but they not consider my complaint. My friends purchased the pool view room (cheaper) and they actually had a better view of the ocean than I did. My safe did not work either. Otherwise the staff and facilities were very nice.

I am a solo traveler. This was my 1st time at this property, my room was amazing & I got an unexpected upgrade. I got a room with a 2nd balcony upstairs with a jacuzzi. But unfortunately I wasn't able to take advantage of it because it rained more than the sun was out. I was in Jamaica for a brief mental getaway Oct. 26th-29th. Jamaica is always my go to when needing to get away. My massage was amazing, the resort was beautiful. I will definitely visit again! As a female solo traveler I definitely felt very safe. Anytime i have traveled to Jamaica I have felt very safe, I've had no bad experiences. I LOVE IT THERE!!

This is a beautiful resort. I enjoyed my stay. I did not like my view because of the area right next to the hotel, not pleasing to the eye. They were limited and specific with room service and it was free all night. I had to ask multiple times for a bar restock and they still did not do it. They stocked it 3 days out of the 7 I was there. They didn’t have night life or activities much. I felt tricked into a time share meeting and tour which I was not expected. House keeping did not clean my room well. They didn’t touch my balcony or the glass and did not clean my shower. I did not like this. They didn’t wipe my table one time that was in my living area. It’s a very beautiful hotel and they have different entertainment places in the resort. Bowling, virtual reality, water sports, spa… If I were to go back it would be to eat a fresh caught lobster a guy next to the resort cooked for us. It was the best lobster i ever had.
