The property itself was beautiful. However, the staff were not welcoming nor friendly. Particularly, Ian who was supposed to be our concierge…at least that’s what he said. He was attentive UNTIL he found out we were not doing the 1 hour tour. After that, we never saw him again.

We had an awesome an time at Ocean Eden Bay. We became a privileged guest which provided us additional services like the in room minibar and a butler. The property is very clean and the views are beautiful. We had a swimup suite that was nice. Our butler, Dan, was awesome, he truly went above and beyond to meet our needs and ensure our we had a wonderful time. Overall everyone at Ocean Eden Bay made my birthday and our 20th wedding anniversary trip a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.

I want to start of by sharing that I went to this property last year, same time of year Nov, 2023, and I loved it which prompted me to go again this year. Now this trip I had a much different experience and I do not believe I will be revisiting. Upon checkin I was not even greeted with a drink. The front desk seemed tiered and overworked. I would call for towels and room service but I couldn’t reach anyone on the phone for hours. I didn’t get mini fridge re stock until I asked for it despite my room NOT being on DND. The restaurants could not all open due to what was a clear over capacity resort with not enough staff to cover all areas / restaurants. The beach / pool chairs looked aged and some even appeared moldy which seemed like a drastic change in just one year. Over all I am grateful to have made the most of my trip and enjoyed my over all stay, however I would highly recommend more staff considering more people are now traveling. And unfortunately 2 of 2 for me.

I booked an ocean view room for my wedding anniversary and received a pool room which was hundreds of dollars cheaper had I chose that room during booking and they refused to accommodate or reimburse me the difference in price. I also booked for 4 other couples who were joining us on our trip and our room was the only room without any of the special accommodations, such as refreshments in our fridge, etc. it was the most terrible experience having to change room mid trip just to not have what was paid for still. I still would like a refund for the difference in room selection.
