The servers and bartenders were nice. The front desk staff wasn’t rude, but was t personable. My wife and I was celebrating our 12th year anniversary because we enjoy the Riu. We actually had our honeymoon at the Riu palace and was recently at the Riu Palace in Punta Cana. At check-in, we were told our anniversary would be recognized, that they had all liquors (I specifically asked about jack Daniels) we even went to the front desk to get change and shared our experience with the manager at the time and he didn’t appear apologetic and we still had in the back of our mind that we would’ve still received even a bottle of champagne or a “Happy Anniversary” animal made out of a bath towel. However place was extremely clean and Taneka from house keeping was extremely nice. I will stick to the Palace though.

If you want to be treated like a child this is the place to be It is not all inclusive no food majority of the time nothing so if your hungry from going out you will be (sol) out of luck And bugs are crazy Beach is not clean Drinks water down They will tell you you can’t take your food to your room. I’ve been coming to Jamaica for the past 15 years visiting different resorts, back in 2020 a group of us decided to try Riu Montego Bay adult and we’ve been going there ever since. This is it we do not desire to go stay anywhere else we love love love this resort however I’ve heard from other people that I’ve met there and the 20 plus people in my group feel that a few changes can be made the first one the main complaint others complain about is the pool shutting down at 6pm this is the main event once that shuts down and the dj takes the music at least leave us with some kind of music there is not much more to do after the pool shuts down until the 9:30 show starts, I hear this complaint from SEVERAL people every time I visit. Secondly the ping pong table should be in a shaded area its too hot. Thirdly the down time is too long and boring there should be more activities held inside out of the heat between breakfast and 2pm. Maybe movie time on the big screen, karaoke, Pictionary etc. I’ve never stayed on a Sunday except this last visit and that reggae party on the beach was the best time we’ve had since we’ve since we’ve been at the Riu problem is most people go home on Sunday so maybe the beach party should be on Saturday night instead of Sunday and the attire should be swimwear. A Thursday night pajama party would be great. Just a few suggestions to feel in the excessive down time. Thanking you in advance for a response. Cynthia Russel
