Property was okay, only there for 2 nights but was afforded early check-in. Beach was nice and clean. Property exterior could use some updating but over all, had a good time. Live band and activities were also nice. Not all staff were friendly but met a few smiling faces. Spa was nice as well. Would recommend warming the lotion before applying during the massage.

The servers and bartenders were nice. The front desk staff wasn’t rude, but was t personable. My wife and I was celebrating our 12th year anniversary because we enjoy the Riu. We actually had our honeymoon at the Riu palace and was recently at the Riu Palace in Punta Cana. At check-in, we were told our anniversary would be recognized, that they had all liquors (I specifically asked about jack Daniels) we even went to the front desk to get change and shared our experience with the manager at the time and he didn’t appear apologetic and we still had in the back of our mind that we would’ve still received even a bottle of champagne or a “Happy Anniversary” animal made out of a bath towel. However place was extremely clean and Taneka from house keeping was extremely nice. I will stick to the Palace though.

The only good food I had was the steakhouse restaurant which out of our 5 days we only was able to reserve one night. The liquor doesn’t even give you a buzz. I had to eat KFC because I was starving because they ran out of foods like jerk chicken stand and even at the buffets. I will not be back

My ride to the airport was never given to me. Which made me have to stay at extra day because I miss my flight. When calling the front desk, someone continue to hang the phone up for me when letting them know that my toilet was not flushing properly. It was like that for hrs.i was told There was only one janitor one staffor the whole facility
