We loved being so embedded in this charming town. The rooms are right on the Grande Piazza The good thing about this is it could not be more convenient to shops, restaurants, sites. And we soon were greeting and being greeted by many of the locals. The bad news is it is very noisy. At night the patrons of restaurants are outside until 2am and in the morning there is a very loud street sweeper at around 715 every morning going back and forth on the piazza. This means windows can’t be open at night and there is no air conditioner conditioning so ceiling fans would be very helpful
The apartment was spacious and nicely appointed with antiques. It felt truly from another era
We had communication problems with the manager at first but once we talked to her things were much better. However, we never did meet her or anyone but the housekeeper. Because we came from Rome we had problems getting to the apartment on time. Problems with late flight, the rental car, no internet access on the way. It would have been helpful if there was some kind of lockbox with a code outside the building so that we could have gotten in more easily.
The manager was good enough to arrange that we could bring our car up to the front door to load
All in all I would recommend this apartment, especially for those who don’t care about noise
