Super cute place and the staff was so nice! I actually loved the dutch door, I liked being able to look outside and still be warm in my room. The view was beautiful, I could've stared for hours.

First time staying Carmel by-the-sea. Very neat place. We must miss breakfast to leave early. Unlikely large hotel chains, front desk opens certain hours. (Morning start 8 s.m.)

This is a hidden gem. Property and furnishings are older however it’s clean, rooms are comfortable and quaint, staff are very friendly and roof top views are amazing. We will definitely return

The hotel was very nice with very friendly staff and a lovely breakfast. I was impressed with some nice touches in the room such as the coffee provided and wine glasses. The main negatives were that the water pressure in the shower was so low and the shower head was awful, so it was basically a mist, not a way to wash yourself, the bed was very soft and uneven, and the tv remote did not fully work. Overall though, I would recommend to a friend. The vibe was great.

Noisy mechanical room
We were located next to the mechanical room and it was very noisy. We complained but they had no real solution. The second night they brought up earplugs. The hotel was very dated but clean. The problem was we entered at street level and had to go up one flight of stairs...ok but to go out the back it was three flights down to pool. We did however have a gorgeous view. The staff was friendly but not very knowledgeable.

Biannual trip to Carmel.
Parking available on site, though a little tight, but that's Carmel. Hotel is dated, but the owners and staff make sure you're taken care of. Continental breakfast in the morning is adequate coffee, tea, orange juice, yogurt, fresh fruit and pastries.

It definitely didn't feel like the cleanest place I've stayed at, but it worked for us! We spent most of our time walking around Carmel so the location was prime. Very simple accommodations but we enjoyed our stay.
