Large rooms with balcony and fireplace, walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf (some hills though) but I made it even using my walker!

We loved this hotel! The room was spacious, with a separate living room area, private patio space (large enough for my yoga mat), and even a kitchenette. The bathroom is amazing, giant tub and separate shower. Everything you might want to do in Monterey is easily walkable. Customer service was friendly and fast; they allow you to keep you car parked until 5pm on the day of check out, which makes those last day activities worry-free. We were impressed and delighted with Hotel Pacific.

The location is ideal for walking to the Pier. This hotel is a bit old, so the drawers and cabinets stick. There didn't seem to be AC and if you open the windows the bugs like to join you. Overall, it was nice. The bed was comfortable and free breakfast was ok.

My family (3 adults and one teen) stayed 2 nights here to beat the heat in our hometown. The location was great as it was close to Fisherman’s Wharf. The beds and pillows were so uncomfortable my husband had to go buy Aleve for the back pain. The AC wouldn’t go below 73° so it was warm while we slept and the windows didn’t open very easily. The doors in the room are very noisy and if you get up to use the restroom while everyone is sleeping, it will wake them up. I don’t think we will be staying at the hotel again.

The hotel is much better than what we expected. It is very close to Fisherman's Wharf, which has many dining options. You can walk along the coast to see tons of sea lions. The breakfast is compliment and taste. Sometimes it can run out when there are too many people.

We’re shocked this property averages a score of 8/10. It’s in a decent location, but it’s shabby, old, rundown, and way overpriced. The junior suite with king bed we stayed in (which is more like a queen size, lumpy and uncomfortable) sofa bed that came with no sheets, pillows, or blankets was the worst room we’ve ever stayed in. And it cost us $350! It’s a motel that poses as a hotel— the room was not only uncomfortable with terrible linens, but it was also dirty. The outside facade is okay but there’s paint chipping everywhere and bird poop all over outdoor balconies, patios, and furniture.

Lovely room, very convenient to explore downtown Monterey, very friendly and attentive staff. Balcony, hot tub and breakfast are great amenities. Beds are comfy and bathroom is incredible. Love the quirky gardens, fountains and onsite parking. Beware the elevator issues.

The Dirty Hotel pacific.
The Hotel could use a very good cleaning, the room was decent but the rest of the property was horrible, from the spider webs to the gunk on the floor in the elevator and the missing railings. For the $409 i paid for one night was definitely not worth it.
