THE PROS: staff very friendly, breakfast had a good verity. Local restaurants close by. The bed was comfortable. The price was good. THE CONS: the room was very dinghy, the fireplace didn't work, roaches in the bathroom, curtains and wallpaper falling apart, very noisey all night (people coming and going all night), carpet riped and coming apart in places.

First room was a slum..dirty..broken lights leaning against wall to stand up. I would never sit on the couch due to dirtyness. Had to wait 2 hours past checkin time for the room...as they were cleaning it....then another hour for a different room. There were a lot of not so acceptable people hanging around. Looked like gangs, drugs, and hookers. The pictures are not anything like the hotel..i give it a zero. Dangerous place. Expedia needs to send people out to check out these places.

They checked us in to a room that was not ready, had to go back to lobby so they can check us in to a different room. Very noisy we even had someone try opening the connecting door inside our room very scary. Lots of illegal activity going on outside. Save yourself time and don’t book here.

When I called they said it was okay to check in at 12pm then when I arrived from the airport I wasn’t able to check in until 3pm. Then there were ants in the room , earwigs , other bugs. The room was not clean. After telling the hotel about the bugs I got told “those bugs are normal at a regular house” first off it wasn’t worth the $300 I paid. Coming from out of state it’s disgusting and disappointing when they said since I booked from a third party that there was nothing that can be done. Parking lot was a mess , homeless behind the building , our fire alarm went off at 5am for no reason. It was the most ghetto motel I’ve ever been too and staff were rude about everything. At night we barely slept the parking lot was full of people partying and being loud.

Two stars might be too generous
This hotel is super dated! The carpets was old and threadbare, there were spots you could see the subflooring, the carpet was sticky, we had to wear shoes the whole time. There was mold all over the bathrrom, the paint was pealing off the walls. None of the wall outlets would hold two-prong plug ins, three prong would stay in. The whole place smelled musty. The ice machine was disgusting (it was unplugged thank goodness). The blinds were ripped and sticky. At least the bedding was clean and smelled nice and the bed was fine for a night of sleeping. The layout of the rooms were good, but the hotel does not have much going for it. It is in desperate need of upgrades and updates.

Would not stay again!! Stayed in king fireplace room. Floor had stains and was super sticky to walk on. Fireplace didnt work. Tv, wall plugs, phone,and lights didnt work. Cigarette burn on sheets, sheets had stains. Was out of conditioner, body soap, and shampoo. Had to call front desk but phone in room didnt work so I used the my own phone and googled hotel number and thenfront desk told me to come down to get shampoo, body wash, and condiditoner. Very loud at night. Did not feel safe at all. Area feels sketchy. I would never stay again.

Room 216 Told 3pm but Hispanic dude rolls up at 14:35 All electrical plugs loose fitting Hair dryer doesn't work No downstairs rooms available yet virtually empty lot Stained soiled furniture No bath mat, tub was very slick unsafe Damage electrical socket with a ground plug stuck in it Only one coffee pad regular and the other was decaf No coffee cups, hot cups provided for coffee Ceiling light bulb out Dirty carpet Couldn't wait to get home to a proper shower to disinfect myself. Laurel Inn NEVER EVER AGAIN

In serious need of updating. Bathroom ceiling looked like it could collapse at any moment! Many of the electrical outlets no longer work. I've been staying at the Laurel Inn, for over thirty years and have watched it slowly decline. Sadly, I won't be returning!
