Review: The Falls Motel, Watkins Glen State Park
I recently stayed at The Falls Motel in Watkins Glen State Park, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. Here are some key points from my stay:
Room Size and Capacity:
The room we were given was extremely small, especially for a party of four. Despite this, the hotel charged extra for the additional guests, which felt unjustified given the cramped quarters. The management should have simply stated that the room could not accommodate four people comfortably.
Cleanliness and Maintenance:
The state of the room was disappointing. There was black mold in the bathroom, which is a serious health concern. The carpet was old, stained, and dirty, adding to the overall unclean feeling of the space. Additionally, the room lacked basic amenities like a small table to place personal items, making it inconvenient for organizing our belongings.
Health and Comfort:
After the first night, I experienced terrible itching, which made me wonder if there were bed bugs present. This issue further compounded the discomfort and unease during our stay.
Overall, my stay at The Falls Motel was quite uncomfortable and did not meet basic standards of cleanliness and space. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure future guests have a more pleasant experience.
