Not well maintained
The overall upkeep and cleanliness of the space left a lot to be desired. Garbages were not empty, hair on sinks, the bed was made but poorly and looked like someone had laid down on it, and floor carpets were rolled up against the wall. Overall not a welcoming space to be in.

You get what you pay for
Stayed here for a weekend and didn’t expect much given the reviews but would have hoped it would have been a bit cleaner. Sheets had burns in them, pieces of glass on the floor and in the windows, the floors were also not clean, dirt on the ground. Shower was pretty grimy and the door to the unit wasn’t locked when we got there.. We tried to get the cable to work on the last day but instructions provided didn’t work, we didn’t bother messaging the host at that point as we messaged the host twice, once to advise that the door was open when we got there, once more to advise the lock pad battery was dying (luckily it worked until the end of our stay) as they never responded to me. We also came home one night and the entire street was blocked off with police tape, we had to ask the cops for permission to go to our unit as the whole street was cleared out, they couldn’t tell us what happened but we saw in the news the next day that two people were stabbed a few doors down. Not a super sketchy area but definitely did not feel super safe after that happened. Super close to the metro which was convenient and the market. Good place to stay if you don’t plan on doing anything but sleeping there.

Host trying but not succeeding
There was supposed to be a king bed and sleep sofa. Sofa leg was broken and unusable. To his credit the host did try and fix it but to no avail. Neighborhood is a bit sleazy but really close to metro and Jean Talone market big plus. The 1 bed not the greatest and very sparse kitchen equipment. Over all would not stay there again.

Good home base
We stayed 3 nights to move our child into residence for university. Great neighbourhood large space, only one bed. We brought an air mattress for our teen. Close to transit, groceries and restaurants. Construction on the store below made Monday morning a bit noisy.

Avoid at all costs! I had to fight tooth and nail for a refund.
I was awarded a refund after not being able to continue my stay for these reasons: Safety Concerns: The apartment I booked through VRBO proved to be unsafe due to a faulty lock on the door leading to the street. Although a key was provided, it was ineffective in securing the property. As a result, individuals were able to enter and exit the apartment while my party and I were away, making us feel vulnerable and insecure. Upon returning one evening, we were horrified to discover a homeless person camping on the stairs. This situation was deeply unsettling and raised serious concerns about our safety throughout the stay. Misrepresentation of the Property: The VRBO listing explicitly stated that the rental could comfortably accommodate three guests. However, upon arrival, we found that the property had only one bed available, leaving us with no proper sleeping arrangements for the third guest. Furthermore, the couch provided as an alternative sleeping option was broken in the middle, rendering it unsuitable for use. This misleading information in the listing created significant inconvenience and discomfort for our entire stay. Unprofessional Conduct of the Property Manager: When we reached out to VRBO to address the safety and misrepresentation issues, we were met with an appalling display of unprofessional behavior by the property manager. During a phone call with VRBO customer assistance, the property manager became irate and verbally abusive.

Nice amenities and location (stairs are a bit steep) but poor management. The unit has an updated kitchen, a big bathroom, and includes a washer and dryer - good! but we got 2 towels in total for 3 adults, we had to hunt for the blankets (only a sheet on the bed), no extra sheets for the sofa, 2 hangers in total, sweltering hot when we entered, dirty laundry in the cupboards. It could have been so much more pleasant given the great potential of the unit. Change your manager!

Place was clean big and as advertised but unfortunately neighbours had a very loud party which lasted until 4am, making it impossible to sleep.
