Boxotel was an amazing experience overall with wonderful amenities including a sauna and spa. The staff was great and very helpful whenever we needed their assistance. However, our car was stolen outside of the hotel in the paid public parking lot. We were unaware of Montreal’s car theft problem. We would strongly recommend that visitors choose a parking location that is secure or take measures to prevent vehicle theft. Despite this unfortunate end to our trip the hotel was incredibly understanding, called the local police for us, and even gave us an extra free night and late check out to figure out our next steps.

Awesome room and building. We travel a few times through Quebec every year and will likely stay there when its convenient. Not many decent restaurants nearby but you must try "Indian North"(?). It is walking distance and real good food! Authentic.

I've no idea how this place is, because there's construction right in front of the building: the whole street is blocked off. I wasn't able to park anywhere, and I had a baby with me so I had to abandon the booking (there is no reception desk, no one to call, and it was 10pm), so I had to abandon my booking and stay elsewhere.

-Ton of construction in front of the hotel that obstructed the main entrance. -No breakfast -Sauna is not great to justified the price of the hotel. It fits like 1-2 people at a time. -Coffee is available via dispenser but there was a locked code on it so can only use during morning hours -Given the busy, high-traffic area, it's a little unease to not have front desk or any staffs onsite. +Great if you're here as a couple or with families but not so great for solo travelers +Great if you're staying for a week but prices need to be cheaper. Was not worth $200 USD a night given lack of service +Room features was nice

Loved the style and that it was ecofriendly. The shower was like a dream! The hot tub and sauna were nice but it was disappointing that the steam room was unavailable. The bed is a murphy bed and was not the most comfortable. Seemed to almost slant downwards and the pillows were a little too firm. There was also construction right outside with half the road blocked off and very limited parking across the street in a lot. But great location for walking and lots of food and shops nearby!

My partner and I stayed at the Boxotel for two nights while we explored Montreal. The room was spacious, the bathroom/wet room felt luxurious and the amenities were fantastic. If we find ourselves in Montreal again, we will definitely be returning to the Boxotel!

Had an amazing stay, property is very unique and clean, would reccomend to anyone, the only downside is the construction outside but it is very very minor, did not interrupt us at all, and no fault of the hotel. Give this place a try you will not be dissapointed!

Construction around the property was loud early in the morning a couple of the days. Some facilities were out of service (steam room), and the TV in our room was not working. Interesting approach to not have staff onsite, and did not realize we wouldn’t have room cleaning services/housekeeping during our stay.
