The bf is excellent. Spread is good, and chef made it a point to alternate some dishes. Onsen is good with hot cold and tub. Staff is friendly n efficient. Its a 15 mins walk fr Morioka station on very poor pavement.

The big selling point of this hotel is the onsen. They bring in real onsen water from the nearby Hachimantai area to use in their public baths, giving a good onsen experience right in the heart of Morioka. Unfortunately, I found the bed and pillow to be much too firm, so it was a bit hard to get comfortable.

Absolutely perfect week-long stay at this Dormy. The onsen was wonderful, the room was spacious, the facilities and parking garage were terrific. Also really happy we chose to stay on this side of the city instead of the more built-up areas around the train station. We were still surrounded by everything we needed but also had just a slightly more relaxed vibe.

Relaxing onsen, even in the rain.
Really enjoyed the onsen and the various free food offerings were a nice touch. On the downside I found the pillows a bit hard and one looked like it had a mark under the cover. The hotel seems a bit tired but it's clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.
