Druridge Hideout sits within a quiet residential area overlooking a pleasant green, close to Druridge Bay Country Park, where there is a nature sanctuary with many water sports available on Ladyburn Lake. Druridge Bay has rolling sand dunes which are ideal for those who wish to enjoy the simple pleasure of a leisurely beach walk along the beautiful seashore or have adventures on the beach with the family. The coastal village of Hadston is an excellent base to explore the 20 miles of Heritage Coastline, a region which is proud to have been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Druridge Hideout has been completely renovated throughout in 2022 to a high standard and offers families or couples a fabulous place to stay, close to the beach and amenities. The open plan living room with a large L shaped leather sofa and a built in media unit with a Smart TV. French doors lead from the dining are onto the outside decked area. The lovely kitchen is finished in a gorgeous navy-blue shaker style and equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay. Upstairs two bedrooms, the master with a kingsize and the second a family size room, both with walk in wardrobes and separate family bathroom. Outside is where the fun begins – pop on your cozzies and take a dip in the hot tub! A great way for everyone to relax after a day exploring glorious Northumberland. The outside area is fully enclosed and has a decked area and table and chairs so why not enjoy some al fresco dining too!
The traditional fishing village of Amble, known locally as ’the friendliest port’ is only 3 miles North where fishing and boat trips to Coquet Island can be arranged. 9 miles south is the ancient market town of Morpeth, where the river Wansbeck winds its way behind the town’s shopping area which offers a wide range of facilities. Alnwick Castle (used as the location of Harry Potter’s Hogwarts) has outstanding gardens created by the Duchess of Northumberland, which includes a lovely woodland walk, a grand cascade waterfall and a restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe. There are train links from Morpeth, with trains taking 50 minutes to Edinburgh and just 20 minutes to Newcastle.
