I have stayed here at least 6 times and it truly is a jewel in the crown of SEQ. they are very reasonable in everything and honest about everything. A trusted safe and pleasant stay. 5 stars. The only downside is some of the facilities are a bit run down but I don’t mind as it makes it ultimately affordable. Well done to staff and all involved
Wonderful home away from home. Great place to be in the midst of nature. Staff excellent. The campsite facilities are clean and accessible. Will definitely plan to return again when we can.
Beautiful location close to national park, but very basic facilities that were vastly overpriced for what is on offer
This is not a lodge, but a basic camp site. After paying $360 for two nights for two people for basic, uncomfortable beds with outdoor toilets that were part of the camp site, linen was charged extra!
It would be ok if we were told clearly beforehand what we were dealing with; but the impression raised on the web site is not correct, and promises far more then what is delivered.
However, if you are looking for a beautiful quiet spot in the Bush, and you like walking, and don’t mind being ripped off - this is the spot.
We stayed in a camper trailer. It’s has the best position in the park. Great views of Barney and on the upper edge of the campground, making it a bit more private. Initially we were a bit worried about being cold but the quilt was enough. I recommend taking a torch as none is provided. But we used the torches our phones and there’s electricity to recharge. Shared amenities blocks are clean. The staff were helpful. Be aware that linen is an addition $20 per person and you need to request in advance, which was a surprise to us after we’d booked on Wotif. It makes this a pretty expensive camping experience. But overall it was worth it. Lovely spot and great to have the facilities of the camper trailer like running (cold) water and electricity.
Lovely cottage type home, tonnes of room, near and tidy , great views and great locality to mt barney routes . Would happily stay again for week or more next time . Kids loved it, huge front yard too.
From the wood burning stove laid ready to light, to the fresh herbs in a vase ready for picking, everything about Boolamoola Homestead was welcoming! The cottage was immaculately presented, with fresh flowers in every room. The view of Mt Barney from the front veranda is spectacular. The dip in the rock pool after a long hot hike was refreshing! Mt Barney lodge is the perfect base for exploring.

Disliked: Staff & service
get in before 4:00 PM!
travelling for work and don't know what area you'll be in at the end of the day? be sure that you book this place before 4:00 PM as after this time you will get nothing - from the residence or wotif.
made the booking at about 4:45, got there at 5:15, office closed, knocked, couldn't call.as there is no mobile reception.
it then takes 15 minutes to get off the mountain.
no joy from the agent either. 4 calls to them, differing information each time.
not again.
Wanted to camp but without all the hassle so opted to rent a camper trailer for two days. The trailer had electricity and running water. There was a fire pit so we could still enjoy the camping experience without having to set everything up ourselves. Trailer was clean and everything in working order, although the canvas was spotted with mould and mildew. Office staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely go again.
Facilities: Nice , Hot water showers! :); Value: Great deal, Bargain; Service: Respectful, Friendly, Informative; Cleanliness: Pleasant;
The hikes are a bit more difficult than stated but they are definitely worth the work to see the view!
