We spent one night here on a quick trip to visit family in Providence. The bed was comfy and the heat/ventilation system worked great (important on a cold winter weekend!). There was some hair on the vanity in the bathroom, but the rest of the unit seemed clean. We were provided with only one bath towel. There was no number provided to call the desk, so I went down to request another towel. It never arrived so we just had to share the one and use the hand towels.
My biggest issue is that even though ESA touts their studios with a kitchen, there are no dishes or anything else provided! They have to be requested, something not mentioned in their elaborate online promotion of the hotel. No flatware, cups, plates, nothing. We drank out of our water bottles all weekend! I requested a coffeemaker Saturday afternoon which also never arrived.
It's a shame that ESA is so obviously skimping on the basics that any traveler would expect at a hotel. They have a good business model and they're an economical option. I willl hesitate to stay at one again knowing that they over-promise and under-deliver on hospitality. It wouldn't cost them that much to correct the deficiencies, and possibly get more repeat business.
