I was bitten by bed bugs and there is no elevator. If your room is on the 2nd floor. you will have to carry your luggage upstairs.

Aside from the check in lady in the afternoon, the evening and next morning front desk women were just plain rude and not pleasant at all. We went down stairs to check out and get breakfast at 545am. And the door was locked. Just like any other guests we had somewhere to be at 645. Breakfast was at 6 and we had 15 minutes to eat. She came outside at 6, smoked a cigarette and then went back inside to open the doors...now we only had about 7 minutes for my child to eat before I sent him off to matriculate at The Citadel. I hate that we have reservations at the same place for September parents weekend. After that...we will go elsewhere as we will spend a lot of time down there.

An older hotel but kept in good condition and good
Older but fully functional and comfortable hotel. Good parking and easy access across the bridge into Charleston. Nice pool on property. Good breakfasts provided. Nearby food restaurants available. We found the air conditioner struggled to keep the room cool.

Exceeded expectations!
Pool was excellent, with beautiful palmetto trees all around -- fabulous ambience. Rooms were quiet, beds comfy. Breakfast was great, with a rotating choice of hot items as well as a wide variety of cold/fruit/dry items, oatmeal, waffle maker, juice, etc. Very friendly staff at breakfast and pool. Front desk staff are a bit surly and never smile, but who cares? The place is fabulous!
