Looks renovated but has serious flaws.
It was ok for a quick overnight stay. Pluses: new bathroom fixtures, reliable hot water, excellent mini-fridge. Minuses: nowhere to put clothes! No drawers, hangers, hooks, not even a towel bar or ring in the bathroom -- what were they thinking? The bed looked clean and new, but the mattress needed to be flipped or rotated. My hips sunk into a trough with virtually no support. I was too tired to deal with it and my back was sore the next morning. I'm a small person, so weight was not the issue.

It is fine if you are expecting an older motel that has been somewhat renovated, but Expedia users had given it a 9.6 rating and it not accurate. The owners are very nice, but that is not a reason to give it a rating it doesn’t live up to.

I really enjoyed all of the small touches and attention to detail. The room, although small, was charmingly decorated with a Scottish theme, and included space to hang jackets and a tray for wet boots. The outdoor fireplace and library on site made it feel homey.

Great place! Newly renovated. Room was spotless and done well. Bathroom area was large with cute towel hangers and racks. Everything you need of course. Staff was friendly and helpful and put me in the perfect room. Wish the little coffee hut across the street was open
