This motel is convenient to the freeway, but not so convenient to a variety of dining options. It is clean, but old. The TVs definitely need to be replaced. I don't think they are even HD compatible. Mine looked like it just stretched the picture and was quite small. There was a lamp on only one side of the bed. On the plus side, it's a quiet area and appears safe. I think it was overpriced for what it offered.

Much to be desired
Last minute booking. "Lobby" was overpowered by food smells as it was directly connected to the owner's residence. Our room had a pile of dog kibble in the carpet at the baseboards. The "white" bath towels looked great folded up, but once they were unfolded, dust marks were apparent in the shape of a tic-tac-toe board where the towel had been folded. Long dark hairs in the bathtub and shower. The sheets seemed clean and the A/C worked.

Friendly staff and room had a clean smell to it but there was a dirty towel on the back of the bathroom door from another guest and cracked sink and tiles. With a little TLC, it could be a great place

The location was continent enough (with a car) just a couple of minutes from the college and about 10 minute drive from Shasta. Beds were tolerable. The room with two beds is very tight, we had do a dance just to go to the bathroom (one of the beds is almost blocking the bathroom). We stayed there for 5 nights and there was no room cleaning, at all, even after requesting it.

There are not many options in Weed - we stayed here when our furnace went out on our trailer - we were glad we had sleeping bags - bedding did not look clean.
