Heron House was nothing short of magical. The view is amazing. The house is wonderfully stocked and put together. We had 2 infants and it was very comfortable for them. Guemes is a beautiful and friendly place. We will absolutely be back

Amazing restorative nirvana!
This is a beautiful property and the island is magical! It was perfect for our reunion of 7 friends. The view from the house is as spectacular as the picture. The kitchen is generous allowing plenty of space to cook amazing meals. Sitting at the dining table gives you a incredible view—living room too! Bottom line —the house is so comfortable!! The people are so generous —someone gave us crab they had just cooked/caught and another guy in the ferry line had us go in front of him to make sure we’d make our flight. The ferry was very easy to use—read the times schedule before you go. We ate dinner at the restaurant which had an Irish band playing-food was really good pub style fare. We walked to two different beaches—the beaches are filled with fun rocks, shells and driftwood. We even saw a sea lion resting on the shore with a volunteer sitting there to educate folks/make sure no one bothered her. It was well needed R&R. We went to the labyrinth and did a walking meditation—quiet and peaceful! The check in process to get the door code needs to change and there were only a few things at the house that need to be addressed. Highly recommend this place!!

Long weekend for family wedding
We stayed at this absolutely beautiful home when we were on Guemes Island for a four day weekend for our nephew's wedding. Yvonne's home could not have been better. It is has amazing views, it is beautiful, well appointed, immaculate and has everything you could need. Yvonne and Sarah, thank you for a great stay in your beautiful home. I would highly recommend this home!

A terrific rental with plenty of space for the entire family. The view is simply stunning. The kitchen has everything you need and the bedrooms are all very comfortable. The game room and media rooms are perfect for folks to spread out on a rainy day. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return.

Beautiful place!
An absolutely stunning house and location! Impeccably clean and very well appointed throughout. The view from the back patio out to Cypress Island and Anacortes was incredible, with eagles frequently circling overhead. The kitchen was very well stocked, both in terms of cookware and utensils, but also spices, tea/coffee, oils etc.. Yvonne was immensely helpful and friendly, and communication was great. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we hope to return!

Just what was needed
The whole experience from booking the home to checking in and the stay itself was so good. The view out the living room window was so calming and therapeutic! The owner was very accessible and made sure all our needs were addressed to make sure we had a wonderful time. Above and beyond the call of duty! Definitely will come back and highly recommend anyone who can come to this beautiful spot do so!

Great Host + Relaxing Stay with stunning views
Our friends and I stayed at the Heron House on Guemes Island this past Labor Day Weekend 2021. The house was very open with amazing decor and everything was in prestige condition. The bedsheets, the furniture and the kitchen were all extremely clean. and the view is absolutely spectacular. Our group was able to relax and recharge in this beautiful home. The house was bigger than we thought too. The media room and ping pong room (filled with board games) provided lots of activity. The Host, Yvonne & her husband, were extremely accommodating to all of our needs. Even when one of the guest had a mini incident where he accidentally dropped their cell phone underneath the front porch. Yvonne and her husband responded immediately when we needed them and we were able to resolve the issues. We're extremely happy with this weekend getaway, highly recommend if you simply want a unforgettable experience. Can't thank the host enough.

Beautiful view!
This home is large and beautiful! The view is spectacular, but beware their is quite a cliff on the other side of the fence. This made me a bit nervous with a toddler and a baby, but they stayed away and wasn’t an issue for us. The house is large, well stocked and can accommodate quite a few people comfortably. We’d definitely stay again :)

INCREDIBLE GIRL'S TRIP!
We are from Arizona & did a girl's trip to Heron House (3 of us) while our husbands were playing in a golf tournament out of state. There are not enough great things I can say about not only the property itself BUT also Yvonne (owner) and Damon (property manager)! They were both so quick to answer any and all questions we had and make sure we had everything we needed before and after our arrival. They were not at all intrusive but each time I contacted one of them, I had a response within minutes. The home itself and grounds were even better than the pictures show! It was fully stocked with anything and everything you could possibly want or need during your stay. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were all spacious, the rec room & media room were awesome & the deck looking towards cypress island was fabulous!!! I am very familiar with Anacortes and the San Juan Islands but if you are not familiar with the ferry system don't pass this home by just because it is on an island. The Guemes ferry is sooo easy and literally takes less than 5 minutes to get across the channel. The location is great because you are close enough to town but the being on Guemes island at night gives you a ton of peace and serenity! This is the 1st time we have rented this particular home but we will only be renting from Yvonne and staying at this particular property the next time we come to Anacortes!

The perfect North West Getaway

Spectacular views of the water and other Islands
This house on Guemes Island has the best view of all the houses bar none! The house is fully stocked with so many things you need for cooking, relaxing, eating! The beds are so cozy and comfortable you just drift off to sleep with no problem. We really enjoyed the out door furniture, I fell asleep on one of them. There is not one room that disappointed!
