The place could use a good cleaning. The guy in the lobby who checked me in said it was his first day. Had to FaceTime someone the entire check in to get me checked in which took a long time. He had no idea where my room was. But I have stayed in worse places.

The property and the room we're OK. I feel like the $100 deposit was unnecessary gouging for a motel in this price range. A lot of little signs with admonitions towards the tenants which made me feel like the owner was a little suspicious of his own customer base. Would stay somewhere else next time.

We will stay again.
The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and the bathroom too. The only thing I would change would be a taller toilet. Also you did not have a iron or a bag for dirty clothes. Breakfast was fine. We will stay again.

These hotels need to do better!!!
This hotel could use a good cleaning. The pool area was dirty. I didnt smell chlorine and there was hair on the floor. All the towels were dingy, some were dirty. The sheets were dirty, the carpet was dirty, the tub floor was dirty. I get its the days inn but cleanliness shouldnt be dependent upon 1 star vs 5 star. The best things about the stay were we got to spend time as a family and they allowed us to bring our Morkie. Also I must've missed it somewhere but if you book through hotels.com and "pay now" hotels.com will charge you for the room and when you check in Days Inn will charge a $100 fee until after you check out. So whatever you budget make sure to add an extra $100

On 10/15/2024, I contacted the hotel in Mount Vernon, IL to request a refund due to me not being old enough for this hotel, which I wasn’t aware of. Unfortunately, the interaction did not go as expected. During my call with the staff member that canceled my room when I went to check in, I experienced unprofessional and aggressive behavior that included rude comments and yelling. I was taken aback, as I approached the situation calmly and simply wished to clarify the refund process. Then she started being rude, so I did as well. This treatment was not only unexpected but also left me feeling disregarded as a customer. I would appreciate it if you could assist in processing my refund promptly. Additionally, I hope that my experience can help improve customer service standards at your establishment to ensure future guests receive respectful and courteous service. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.

The gentlemen at the front desk was great! Very patient with some chalenging people when we got there. The hotel can def use a better cleaing job and some maintenance, some paint would do wonders. Wished we would have stayed at the Motel 6 again, it was clean and nice!
