Mountain cabin,Creek access, Hot tub near Hochatown

Enjoy the close proximity to Hochatown and Beaver's Bend while emmersing yourself in the secluded Kiamichi mountains of Honobia. Our property sits atop a mountain with panoramic mountain views. Explore our four acres that are surrounded by uninhabited land. Walk down our trail to the peaceful flow of Little Rock Creek. Our property is centrally located with convenient drives to Hochatown, Beaver's Bend, Talimena State Park, Sardis Lake, Heavener Runestone Park, Robber's Cave, WMA, and more.
The space
When you drive up to our property, located atop a mountain within the Kiamichi Mountain Range, you will be welcomed by a cozy patio with stunning views and the peaceful sounds of nature. Step through the doorway of the cabin, and notice the open, modern feel of the main area. Big open windows provide constant views and opportunities for spotting wildlife, which includes eagles, deer, birds, and even black bears (though we’ve never seen any! ;) ). Although modern, the cabin is filled with personal, cozy touches that represent the history and geography of the area and its Choctaw Nation heritage.

The living room fireplace was handcrafted with stone from our property’s creek (Little Rock Creek). The living room has a smart TV. You will also find a queen-size memory foam Murphy bed that is a great place to sleep if you want to stargaze at night. The night sky is truly breathtaking!

The kitchen is fully stocked for daily use. With a Keurig K-Duo, you have the option of using the coffee pot or K-cups. Your first day's coffee will be provided for your convenience. Enjoy it at the breakfast nook while watching the many beautiful birds of the region. Available appliances include a stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and toaster. You will find complimentary snacks upon arrival for those late-night munchies!

There is a master bath and a guest bath. Both feature spa-like showers. We provide little toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, and extra toothbrushes in case you forgot yours!

The master bedroom has a queen-size memory foam bed. A luggage rack and closet are available for storage. The view from the master window is majestic. Privacy shades and curtains are available as well.

The guest bedroom also has a queen-size memory foam bed, luggage rack, and closet. A smart TV is provided as well. This bedroom has a window with a view of the back of the property. Privacy shades and curtains are available as well.

In the living room, there is a ladder that slides in and out to provide access to a large loft upstairs. The loft has cozy built-in double bunk beds with trundle beds underneath. It sleeps 6 in total. The bottom bunks offer cute and quaint little nooks for reading or a kids' movie night. Snuggle up in front of the large smart TV for a movie after a day of exploration. Friends or family can enjoy a game of air hockey, foosball, or PAC-MAN!

There is access to a wrap-around patio from the side door in the living room or the master bath (which walks directly out to the hot tub for some relaxation after the kids get to bed). Sit around the Solo Stove fire pit and enjoy the amazing mountain view. Cook some burgers on the grill and sit around the outdoor dining table to have a meal. Enjoy an early morning cup of coffee while listening to the sounds of birds. Soak in the MasterSpas Twilight Series 6-person hot tub that features two waterfalls, over 40 jets, a light display, and foot massagers!

Out back, you will find a play area with horseshoe pits, a saucer swing, hammocks, and space to set up the cornhole boards and ladder ball (which are located on the patio). A fire pit is nestled among the pines. Sit and listen to the creek stream or roast marshmallows for your complimentary s’mores!

Our cabin is truly a home away from home. What makes it special though, is the location. We are at the epicenter of many popular destinations. We have direct access to the Indian Highway, which leads straight to Hochatown (just 30 minutes away). Hochatown and Beaver’s Bend State Park provide so much entertainment from restaurants, live music, breweries, wineries, ice cream shops, and shopping to outdoor activities, trout fishing, bowling, escape rooms, go-karts, and more! Talimena State Park (with great hiking and mountain biking trails such as the Ouachita Trail) and Talimena Scenic Byway are located about 30 minutes North of our cabin. Sardis Lake is a popular fishing destination. It is located about 45 minutes Northwest of the cabin. Clayton Lake State Park is 35 minutes Northwest of the cabin. Cedar Lake holds the state Bass record and is a 55-minute drive Northeast. Heavener Runestone Park and Winding Stair Mountain National Recreation Area are near Cedar Lake and about an hour away. Robber’s Cave is a popular tourist attraction located 1 ½ hours Northwest of the cabin. It is an old outlaw hideout of Jesse James.

Within our area, there is access to public WMA hunting land across from our entrance. Our creek, Little Rock Creek, meets up with Little River just down from our land. You can access Little River for kayaking, rafting, or fishing. Honobia is a quaint little town with only one shop. It is your go-to for little items you may have forgotten. It has a mini grocery section. It is also a local grill with amazing burgers, fried pickles, and more! Honobia Creek Store offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner on most days.

As you can see, our place provides true immersion into nature, while also offering many excursions and outings. It is your chance to be close to Hochatown but away from the congestion and close proximity to neighbors. You have the choice of relaxing in nature or getting out and exploring. This is what drew us to the area and why we love it!

Beautiful property!
We enjoyed our stay at The Eastman Rose. The property was clean. Communication with host was simple with fast response. The Eastman Rose is a beautiful place to stay. Elegant modern farmhouse is how I would describe this property! I love how it is secluded from the main road and tucked away into the wilderness. Everything you need for a nice relaxing vacation for a couple or the entire family! We will definitely stay here again soon!

Beautiful Cabin! Even better location!
The cabin is basically brand new and is so cute. There is a lot of attention to detail in the layout and design. There is plenty of space for groups or large families. The place is even better in person than in pictures. Our kids loved the loft and bunk beds. They utilized the foosball table and air hockey table quite a bit. There were tons of activities and outdoor games available, like Cornhole, horseshoes, hammocks, fire pits, etc. A short walk takes you to a beautiful creek that leads to the river. We loved how secluded the location is - it was very peaceful and serene! We will definitely return to this cabin!
