Restful and comfortable
We stayed here while visiting a family member. It is so comfortable, and the location is rugged and beautiful - the most beautiful view of the stars I’ve ever had. It is remote, so plan ahead to get groceries. We had no trouble finding ways to enjoy ourselves (The World War II Museum in Fredericksburg is excellent), and there are state parks in the area I would love to investigate when the weather is different. Ashley was quick to answer any question, no matter how trivial. The beds and pillows are comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, the Wi-Fi works great. We are thankful we found this home.

Amazing location
This VRBO rental was beyond amazing. I have never seen the sky with so many stars glistening. The house was amazing and there was plenty of room. The outside was remarkable with the seating areas. I enjoyed being able to be at ease at let my fur babies run free outside and there was no worries at all. The property was well fenced. The gym was great having available. There was so much to enjoy on this property that we hardly had to leave for entertainment. We were even able to buy eggs from the property. The location was so accommodating. We would recommend this rental.

Friends Car Group
Group of car enthusiasts going for an extended weekend to drive the twisted sisters route. The property is amazing, we saw lots of deer and other animals. No neighbors for miles. The entry road to the property is packed graded caliche and we had no problems with access even with our lowered vehicles. The house was amazing for 8 adults, we all had our own beds. You could definitely fit more people but I suppose that’s up to the owner and they may want to limit guests to reduce mess/issues. The pictures don’t do it justice. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, cups, pots, pans, basic seasonings, dish soap, and cooking utensils. There is a charcoal grill and also fire pit with a grate. Air conditioning was ice cold with separate upstairs and downstairs units. We had good cell reception on the property (but really didn’t need it, just enjoyed hanging out with friends). Excellent stay, we will be back!

Stars and wildlife and birdsong
We came for the possibility of quiet star-gazing on a new moonless night and were not denied!!! Jupiter, Mars, Orion Nebula and constellations galore with satellites, meteor shower (small) and the sounds of wild turkeys, migrating birds and butterflies. The home is beautifully built and appointed and you need for very little except for more time. If you have the time, dont miss this gem!!!

Weekend Getaway in Kerr Hill Country
We had a great weekend stay at the property, and it is isolated from anything immediately around, which is nice. Kerrville, though, is a short 30 minutes away, so it is easy to go to restaurants, etc. Well worth the effort and time.

Most wonderful place for a weekend getaway!
We loved this place! It is so serene and peaceful. The home is gigantic with lots of room, and private space. We enjoyed the pool table as well as sitting on the porch enjoying the breeze. If you're a stargazer or enjoy a firing range, you're going to LOVE this place! The dirt road was long but nothing we couldn't safely navigate on motorcycles. Ashley promptly helped us with any issues or questions we had. Overall, we look forward to visiting here again.

Pictures do not do this property justice! A must see and experience home. We had a blast and the drive to the river had an amazing view. You won’t be disappointed! I honestly could have curled up with one of the many books there and stayed in.

Awesome place with all the amenities
Plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms. Everything you need for cooking. The biggest favorite for everyone was the outdoor area, lots of outside sitting areas, plenty of chairs and the VIEWS were outstanding along with the wonderful breezes and fire pits to sit around. It is some distance from a town but the trade off is worth it. Cindy
