"What a happy accident. We made a very last minute decision to have a stay on the North Norfolk Coast and picked The Maltings almost by sticking a pin in the list. It turned out we had chosen one of the finest hotels we could have found and the location was perfect. The hotel staff were extremely friendly without being overly intrusive and the hotel itself is really cosy and welcoming. There are lots of areas to sit and rest with a drink. The beach is only a 10 minute walk away and that opens the opportunity to head into Sheringham along the coastal path. We ate at the local pub, but the hotel restaurant looks really inviting and the food top quality. We did have breakfast there and sure enough it was delicious. Altogether a memorable break in a hotel fitting for the discerning guest. "

"Apart from the blip when we arrived (the cottage hadn’t been cleaned after last guest but it was sorted within the hour). We enjoyed our stay the cottage was warm and comfortable. The bed was really comfortable and I loved the sloping floors. "

"Superbly positioned little property. Essentials (pub, shop, Cookies crab shop, church with art exhibition(!)) all within easy walking distance. Well equipped within the property. Supremely quiet with proper dark night skies. Had a small problem with the smoke alarm but that got sorted very quickly. Recommended."
