Upon arriving at the property, I discovered there was no power, no hot water, and the heaters were not functioning. When I inquired why I had not been informed of these issues beforehand, I was told that the staff lacked the time and phone service to notify guests. While I understand that a storm had recently impacted the area, as part of a well-established chain like Extended Stay, I believe more proactive measures could have been taken. For instance, assistance from other locations could have been sought to notify customers about the situation.
Furthermore, due to a delayed flight, my reservation was marked as a "no-show," and I was required to pay again for my stay—even though the room I was given was cold, dark, and without basic amenities. I was also informed that no notifications had been sent to guests because the staff had hoped power would be restored quickly, despite the storm having occurred two days before my arrival.
