Stables Cottage

This lovely 4 bedroom rammed earth house is ideally located to explore the Blackwood regions wine and fine foods suitable for guest 12yrs and over.
The house is situated to take advantage of the scenic views overlooking farmlands and is totally private should you wish to spend time taking in the view under the pergola or cool down in the pool during a warm summer's day.
During winter relax with a crackling log fire keeping you warm whilst having a glass of local wine and cheese or a cup of tea.
The house also comes with a television, complete cooking facilities, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, air fryer and a laundry equipped with a washing machine and clothes dryer for those longer stays.
The property is a few minutes drive in to Balingup.

Fabulous place to stay
We had a lovely weekend staying in this beautiful property. Well appointed in a great location, the house has everything you need. Just minutes to Balingup and well located to Bridgetown and Donnybrook. Great hosts and highly recommend. Plus you must visit the Chocolate Vault in Donnybrook which they own. Divine.

A pleasant surprise…
This place exceeded our expectations. The view, the architecture, the burning fireplace and hand crafted chocolates upon arrival and welcoming hosts. Well stocked with everything you need in one place. Just beautiful. (Not a criticism but a suggestion to add a few more hooks in the bathroom and possibly a tiny drying rack during winter - unless we didn’t see it). Bird watching and rolling hills was medicinal… Would definitely come back again…

Lovely Place
The photos don't do it justice. It's a lovely, spacious house in a nice spot. Being the middle of Winter, we didn't go near the pool but defiantly enjoyed the fire. Hope to stay again.

Peter and Vicki were super friendly hosts. The ‘cottage’ is beautiful, with everything you need. Slept so well in the comfortable bed. Even though it was cold we stayed toasty warm with the wood fire. Was the perfect base to explore Baylingup, Nannup and Bridgetown.

We really enjoyed our stay over the long weekend. The property was well equipped, the beds were so comfortable and the fire was perfect for the stormy weather. We arrived to some delicious local treats and the fire already on which was very thoughtful.

We went down to celebrate a milestone anniversary and we hoped for a place to rest and relax together. Peter and Vicki were the perfect hosts. We had all the information and support necessary while being given the absolute maximum amount of privacy. Peter was more than willing to help, have a chat and give us information about anything. The property is lovely, well equipped and overlooking paddocks, grazing cows and chirping birds. The pool is the perfect way to cool off when it gets hot. And we were welcomed with come of Vicki’s gluten free brownies that are to die for. Thank you Peter and Vicki. We highly recommend this property and its owners.

Delicious chocolate and amazing views
Lovely quiet property with gorgeous views. Perfect for getting away from it all. Vicki and her husband went out of their way to get the pool set up when my kids requested to use the pool despite it being October and pretty cold. The chocolate shop was a real treat. A great place to stay - would love to go back sometime!

Lovely get away!!
Neatly presented rammed earth cottage. Lovely hosts!! Plenty of firewood supplied to keep the fire going day & night. The kids enjoyed visiting the chocolate shop, at the property entry. Having the cafe on site was also excellent. We enjoyed hang-out in the loft & taking in the views across the valley

Brilliant
This property and accommodation is magnificent, the pictures really do not do it justice. Much bigger than it looks. Clean and tidy, super comfy beds and that fireplace just warms the whole place. Would recommend and definately stay again!

The house is spacious and homely with two living areas. The wood fire in the kitchen/dining area with a well stocked wood box is excellent. Vicki was welcoming and delightful and provided us with a guided tour of the house. She also supplied additional milk and extra fire lighters just in case we needed them. The chocolate shop in front of the accommodation was a real treat.

Great accomodation which oozed character. Setting is so beautiful and there is absolutely everything you need. The owners Vicki and Peter are delightful and very welcoming. The chocolate emporium at the front of the property is a must to visit. We highly recommend!
