It was not a nice experience. The telephone operator did not pick up calls or make an effort to return calls, the front office bell boy was not available, housekeeping was the worst experience ever, with no one to clean the room until 7.30PM, and to top it all off, towels were unavailable throughout the property until 8pm.

Booked an apartment hotel - 1 bed with separate living room and kitchen. It was spacious and comfortable and the wifi was very good for tele-working. The hotel is connected to the Panorama mall which was convinient and there is a supermarket for groceries inside. Easy drive to the Avenues and Grand mall. Friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent hotel with 5 star facilities.
Nice hotel friendly staff and excellent facilities. The only negative is that there are 3 towers with lift there is a difficult arrangement in that does not take you straight to your floor, you have to change lift, otherwise an excellent hotel.

The first time I stayed at this property in an apartment room, it was good. The second time, we got a studio room. Unfortunately our room was next to the housekeeping storage room, and literally the door was banging open and shut day and night by the housekeeping. Our shower drain was not working, and the sink area had a very rotten type smell. Also, when I called the reception to report that another room kept calling ours over and over (maybe kids playing with the phone), the woman at the reception was very unprofessional and just used terms like “huh?” And “what?”. She just spoke to us like we were insane and did not help. The carpets were dirty and stained as well. For the price, we definitely expected way more, and will not stay here again.

Our stay was very comfortable. However, hotel shall keep more toiletry accessories, which is being provided in very short supply manner. Only when you ask the hotel is providing. Also the shower is not having water force.

A lovely family stay.
An enjoyable stay at this aparthotel for 3weeks with my family.Well furnished apartments with all amenities.An ideal location adjoining panorama mall. Two other popular malls are very close by namely Grand mall & Avenues mall.Overall it was a good stay and a reasonable price.My special thanks to Salim at the reception who was wonderful and very helpful.Malik and Anwar the cleaner.I definitely recommend Somerset and will come back again.

Great hotel
The stay was amazing. The hotel apartment was very good. Nice swimming pool. The hotel looked overall nice and clean. At the front desk Salim was especially very helpful. The only part of the stay I would say was a disappointment was the breakfast. I would not recommend eating the breakfast at their restaurant, it was very bad and no variety at all. It’s better to prepare breakfast yourself in the hotel apartment. Otherwise location is a bit far from Old Muscat, Mutrah, where most of the sights are. The shuttle bus does not offer daily transport and only one route. -Shohra
