My wife and I came to Garden City for Family Funeral. We stayed at GCI and enjoyed our stay while there. Was able to take our pet Dig and enjoyed walking the beach. Only thing negative would be lack of customer service checking in. The lady at check in had no persoanality and and seemed stand off ish. Ither than thT stay was goid.

Great stay!
This was our second year staying at the Garden City Inn. Staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are clean and the beds are amazing. Easy access to the pool and right on the beach. Smaller hotel with less hassle than the larger resorts.

The room had a smoke detector that would not stop beeping. I went to the office starting around 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm. I spoke to the girl at the desk and she said that she can’t reach the property manager. She has tried multiple times. I said I would like to speak to a manager. She said that nobody was in so there was nobody to reach all night and we had this beeping every 10 seconds in the room then we get in the beds and the beds have a layer of sand all over I’m going to contact Expedia and I would like my money back because this was unacceptable .

The staff is SUPER RUDE and unprofessional at this property. They are very aware that the location is so great that they have no need to be kind and considerate to their guests. They make this very evident with their terrible customer service and overall poor demeanor. I felt like I was dealing with people who had never received any training in their entire lives. Very disappointing. This place could be a fantastic experience if they just had a decent staff. No view nor proximity to the beach is worth feeling stressed out and unappreciated when you are paying your hard earned money. ZERO customer appreciation here. STAY AWAY.

This hotel did not follow the “lights out for turtles” policy. The property is not as nice as our family is used to staying. However, Lunchbox and the rest of the staff make up for anything lacking. The ocean view is top notch!!!! We had a great time in the pool, cooking our caught fish right on the beach side at 2:30am. What a vacation! We will be back!!

We really enjoyed being in the area. Quiet. Saltwater pool was nice. Unobstructed view of the beach from the room and pool side. Nice shelter area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient.

Pool was dirty. No elevator. Only one ice machine - ran out of ice every day. At least four couples impacted on check-in. Put in wrong rooms, people already in rooms. Check-in was very stressful. Our key would not work, people already in the room. Their key worked, but people were sleeping there.

Well , when I booked the room on Expedia I assumed the hotel had an elevator. It does not. My husband has mobility issues and I had a total hip replacement 6 weeks ago. The young receptionist did carry our luggage and small cooler upstairs to the second floor. Staff was very friendly and courteous. I was just not aware there was not an elevator.
