Highlights were the friendly and helpful staff, we were able to check in early which we appreciated. The breakfast was great as always. Some important notes to mention: if you are a mature couple or families travelling together request the ground floor, there is no lift so you have to carry all your luggage up the stairs and back down for check out however the staff do help you, but we still felt bad because our bags weighed around the 23kg and we had a few bags. Otherwise a great stay, easy and secure parking.

Most good hotels provide breakfast included. A smaller hotel Capricorn provides free and never said no for breakfast. Porters used to carry stuff Not in Mercure. Though I saw many staff. But it seems they didn’t worry seemingly I’m a local.

I stayed in room 203. The beds were comfortable and the staff and housekeeper were fantastic. The bathroom was very outdated and appeared dirty at all times but was cleaned daily. The bathroom had cockroaches on the sink and vanity and near the toilet paper. I had to ask the housekeeper to spray cockroach spray and I wasn’t too keen to use the bathroom or toilet paper. The rooms air conditioning did not work properly causing us to get sick. My brother started vomitting etc. because of the extreme heat. The hotel did provide a fan and informed us that the air conditioner was malfunctioning. The room surfaces and bed headboard was sticky from whatever cleaning solution was used. In the end I had to pay extra for accommodation elsewhere for 4 of the 7 days and I checked out early. The spa staff were wonderful and so were the garden and maintenance staff My mum stayed in room 204 and the air conditioning worked perfectly, the bathroom was better than room 203 but the bathroom door didn’t open or close properly and caused us grief. We asked to change rooms and the only room they had available was in level 3 and they had no lifts so we declined. I would recommend the spa service if you’re looking for a good massage but I wouldn’t stay at the hotel or recommend that anyone stay here. I was very disappointed and no one should have to pay to live with cockroaches.

Very unfriendly staff except at reception. The whole property , the whole hotel need maintenance plus the balconies were dirty. There other things inside the room needs to be fixed.eg the taps loose, the curtains and many more.
