room had a hot water kettle coffe and tea packets sugar. shower pressure was ok but not great.. and had a normal good shower head not those electric ones that shock you when you touch them. mosquito net on above rails that goes around the bed.. worked but did see one or two on the walls in the morning. bed and pillows were fine and comfortable was quiet when I closed the windows and kept the fan on otherwise the bar below the garden view had a bit of loud drinkers and some music was playing after 12pm on Friday. upon entering room, fan made a screeching sound so that took a few minutes to replace.. phone in the room and worked fine. menu was great and I tried the Talapia Fish. the Chef made a tasty meal. Good job. Nothing much about the river.. just basically a small stream .. flower and plants make a nice relaxing atmosphere and tables in the garden etc.. Very nice equipped Bar and atmosphere. check out time is 10am however I asked If I could stay longer until 12pm and that wasn't a problem. in my opinion 60 dollars thru expedia was a bit much for this hotel. I'd having the price range at 45 per person would be a fair price.

Nice and safe hotel with beautiful garden
We stayed one night upon arrival to Nairobi and everything went fine. We especially appreciated the fact that we were allowed to check in earlier (we arrived early morning) and especially liked the beautiful and calm inside garden of the hotel. The staff at the garden bar was super nice and helpful and helped us with our tour planning (even offered to pay with her Mpesa account since we didn’t have any). Rooms were nice and clean, appropriate for the price we paid. We felt very safe during our stay.

A good value for money -- in fact I prefer it to a slightly more expensive hotel down the road. Accommodation is clean and the property is well maintained. My big problem was the poor Wifi. I require Wifi for work but the Wifi network was either slow or not working at all. Despite my otherwise good impression, I will think twice before I return.

Staff was very helpful. New reception was under construction. It would be nice if your review stated the rooms have no air conditioning. Luckily it was cool so no problem with only a room fan provided. Heavy rain in the evening and it pointed out a problem. Even though they have two restaurants on site, there is no covered passage from the rooms to then, so I had to wait about an hour until between storms to walk to the restaurant. Restaurant service was OK and food was good, but food delivery was very slow. It was about 30 minutes from ordering soup appetizer until delivery and then another 20 minutes for main course.

Good for laid back, homey stay
Very friendly staff, but understaffed at reception so one person could do 24h stints. Has a large BandB rather than hotel feel. No gym, pool and limited overall communal space. Few tv channels. House keeping is poor especially for replacing towels, soaps. Backyard is beautiful and serene. Run the tap for a while to get hot water. WiFi is very spotty in many rooms - I moved 3 times to get a half-decent signal in part of the bedroom.Checkout at 7am was a very poor experience as it took about 30m -tally for incidentals not ready, credit card machine had to be retrieved from locked up office, etc. Area and hotel very safe. I wouldnt recommend for business-type visit. Good if you want laid back, homely stay.

Quite garden hotel with great staff.
This is what I would describe as a garden hotel. You can sit outside by the lawn and enjoy nature and the rockery and small waterfall. The staff are great and very responsive to requests.

The rooms are in a quiet area and it feels calm here and a very local feel (opposite of resort). However, the bathroom was not very nice, but the rooms facing the gardens were OK, with lots of windows and a good size. The menu is rather limited and I got food poisoning while there - likely from eating there.
