The Napa River Inn hotel has a wonderful location in downtown Napa. The staff is friendly all the time. The rooms al clean. They serve fresh pastries every morning direct in your room and all of them are DELICIOUS. This was our second visit to this resort, and for sure all our stays at Napa will be at the Napa River Inn hotel

It’s central, but not a great location. Our room was right above the bar/restaurant and it was loud and busy from morning until the next morning. They should look into sound-proofing. It’s par for the course in Downtown Napa, as most of the hotels appear nicer than they actually are in reality. (Sorry.)

Great place. Clean, amazing location. As with most hotels, the water valves are backwards (hot is cold and cold it hot). Staff is friendly and the service is on point.

Napa River Inn was awesome! The location is great, parking is easy, the room was comfy and the staff were friendly! I enjoyed the free bottle of wine at check-in and the daily vouchers for breakfast at the bakery downstairs. The ONLY thing is the shutters in room weren’t blackout and let in a ton of light making it difficult to sleep. Fabulous stay and would definitely recommend!

Charming Hotel- But why were the beds so small?!
The facade of the hotel was charming and the location was perfect for walking downtown. The staff offered a very warm welcome! Breakfast from the bakery nextdoor is included in the cost of your stay. Some parts of the hotel felt a little run down... but it is an old hotel and a more affordable option for downtown. Our biggest complaint, however, was the size of the beds. We booked a room with two queens and we were shocked to find the beds barely looked like fulls. I confirmed with the front desk that I had booked queens... so I'm not sure if hotel queens are different than ones you buy for homes or if they just put us in the wrong room? I've never seen such small queen beds! :(

Location was good and the property itself was lovely. Unfortunately the little things make a big difference and this is where there were some problems. I got a VERY small room (I think the smallest they had) on the ground floor so heard footsteps and stomps above me until late in the evening. The wall heater was VERY loud, even after I took out my hearing aid, and cycled all night. No closet, the "closet rack" for hanging clothes was in the bathroom ... which was awkward. No iron nor ironing board. The TV required you to log into one of YOUR streaming services - no channels whatsoever were available. Many of the electrical outlets didn't work ... I kept wandering why my phone and computer weren't charging, then figured out I had to find a working outlet. Half the lights in the room did not work, an electrical issue again I suppose. The room definitely needed refreshing. No parking in the hotel lot mid-afternoon to evening due to all spaces being taken up by hotel restaurant customers. Little pink boxes of delicious pastries were provided in the morning. For the cost I don't think I would stay again unless I could reserve a BIG room on the third floor.
