The staff here is terrible. Issues at check-in, someone walked into our room while we were laying in bed because they apparently reassigned a key to our room that we were already in! The hotel staff could not speak English well enough to even give us towels when we ask for them. When asking random employees to help with directions, they acted annoyed and like we bothered them. The spa had a broken heater, so it was absolutely freezing, services were average. Waterpark was closed for renovation. At check out all of the computer systems were down so we could not even receive a receipt! Would not stay here. The atriums are beautiful, but they are open to the public as well as the restaurants so stay somewhere else and just come for a few few hours to check out the grounds.

I’m not sure on hotels.com means when I book two nights and two units. I would think that meant two rooms. Got to check in and they would only give me one room. She said two units is not two rooms. Had to practically beg for them to give us another room. She said I didn’t have a confirmation number and all went downhill from there. I think this needs be clear on the website when someone books a room on hotels.com. What is a unit verses a room. Other than our check in experience the hotel staff has been wonderful and very helpful.

The room and facilities were clean. My main complaint was/is that you couldn’t choose your room. I don’t think we’ve ever been anywhere where we couldn’t choose our room. In “most” places, veiw is not a big deal. Except the beach, mountains, etc. But even then we had a choice of rooms. Here, the only choice was whether you wanted an exterior room or interior room. And here, view is pretty important. Knowing we made the decision 2 nights before arriving, I can give a little leeway. Having lived in Nashville for 36 years earlier in my life, I have been to Opryland many times. When my kids were little, we had season tickets to the amusement park every summer. Then both my daughters had their proms there. Later on, would go every Christmas, parking was free and would walk around for hours. This was an anniversary celebration and we were already planning on going to Nashville to see kids and grandkids. I doubt we’ll ever stay there again. Not worth the money. Yes, I know Nashville has some of the highest hotel prices. But the experience was not worth the cost. As hubby said, “ we can say we’ve been.”
