Cozy, Modern, Safe, Quiet Neighborhood, Minutes From Nashville's Top Attractions

Cumberland Cottage is tucked away on a quiet waterfront street that is steeped in history, with several famous old school Opry Stars living nearby. It's private and safe here. There is very little car traffic so it's great for walking around or riding bikes. We see deer, geese and turkey regularly, and enjoy fishing in the Cumberland River. Just down the street is a very quiet and historic park. It's a special neighborhood with friendly folks. Yet, it’s just minutes from the famous Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Opry Mills Mall and THE GRAND OLE OPRY. Within 4 miles there are over 2 dozen Restaurants & Nashville’s biggest Water Park. Downtown is only 18 minutes away, much closer than 95% of the waterfront homes in the greater Nashville Area. Two great golf courses are within 4 miles, uber and lyft are very familiar with the area, and a taxi service is based only 1.5 miles away.
Once you get here, you may not feel the need to leave. There's a fireplace in the living room and an outdoor fire bowl in the private backyard that's perfect for entertaining or relaxing. If you like to cook, you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen, with all the pots, pans, and small appliances of home. Outside on the back deck there’s a gas grill with a side burner where you fishermen can fry up the day’s catch.

Clean linens are provided on each bed. Cotton bath towels are also provided.

Each morning you’ll enjoy your breakfast and complimentary coffee in the sun-filled dining room, or take a walk down the quiet lane and listen to the birds and the river.
In the evening… enjoy the peace and quiet on the front or back porch. When it’s time to turn in each bedroom has an HD television, the first and second bedrooms sport new king beds and the third bedroom has a new queen bed. If you have a party of eight, two deluxe inflatable twin mattresses are available.

Other amenities include Washer/Dryer, Cable TV, Blu-Ray players, and High-speed WiFi.
All you need to bring is your clothes and your food. We provide coffee and some kitchen amenities. We go the extra mile for our guests and also provide eco-friendly bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

Beautiful home in a Fantastic location.

Everything about the stay was great! First and foremost,John is an amazing host. He was easy to communicate with and was instrumental in helping us find a lost phone.I cannot say enough wonderful things about the host.The property is beautiful and quaint in a great neighborhood. The Cumberland River is right there and an abundance of wildlife greeted us each morning and afternoon. It was great to feel like we were in the country and yet less than 10 minutes away from the "city". The house is well-stocked and had all amenities we needed to be comfortable. Fast, reliable internet and plenty of cooking essentials. I highly recommend staying at this property if you want a break from downtown and Broadway and want to relax without being far from anything. Thank you again to our amazing host!

perfect cottage

this cottage sits in a very quiet and beautiful neighborhood, with river views and beautiful homes surrounding it. The home was immaculate! It was an easy five minute drive to Opryland complex, close to restaurants and only a ten minute drive to downtown and Broadway. I would definitely stay here again.

Great, relaxing home and location.

The home was perfect. Beds were comfortable, and it had everything we needed. The fenced backyard was great for our dogs as well as having 2 Rivers Dog Park about 4 miles away.Neighborhood was quiet, a lot of deer walking around.The location was also great for doing anything Opryland, less than 4 miles to the Grand Ole Opry, and Opry Mills Mall.We Ubered down to Broadway for about 20 bucks with 20% tip included in that price.If you want a few fun bars with cheap beer, check out Santa's Pub and Rosie's Keg II...Rosie's has great burgers.

Stay for meetings at Gaylord Opryland

John's house was perfect for me and my family (including dogs) when I had meetings at the Gaylord. Nice, quiet neighborhood with the river and woods around...even saw four deer. This was away from the city but convenient to everywhere we needed to go. The backyard was great for the dogs and the house was very comfortable.

Great weekend stay

Perfect size house that had everything we needed (including towels). Great quiet neighborhood and the perfect distance from downtown Nashville. Definitely better than staying in surrounding hotels. If the owner has properties in other cities, I would definitely stay there.

2nd time here!

Great spot for anyone travelling to Nash. We had a show at the Grand Ole Opry Friday night, and this place is spot on the best as its so near you don't even have to get on a highway! All the while tucked in a cute neighborhood in the woods. Broadway is a shortish drive away, or uber. We will stay again!

We spent a lovely week at Cumberland Cottage. We would stay again! Let me tell you why PRO: It was CLEAN! It was well equipped. Not only with dishes and pots and pans but nice extras like paper towels and napkins. Lots of linens and towels. The location was lovely. There are trees all along one side and the back of the house. And the river is in the front. When you look out the many windows, you see trees!! It was refreshing and restful. The living room furniture was comfy and the wood floors nice. The grill works! It is a very easy drive to Gaylord Opreyland if you are in town for a concert or conference. The 8 minute drive is pretty - a tunnel of trees and almost no traffic. We went back to the house for dinner breaks and almost everyone was turning the other way. The ceiling fans over every bed did a great job keeping the beds cool. Plus there was another fan you could move to use in any room you wanted. Last but most important (after being clean)- the host was very responsive and great to work with. CONS: If you are traveling with a baby who is a light sleeper, the first half of the hallway has a creaky floor. (It did not bother us!) I highly recommend this house!
