Nice hotel, bad area.
It was good, both times, except some idiots were playing loud music and it took a long while for the hotel to get them to stop. Security doesn’t get there until 10:00pm. Shuttle doesn’t run before 5:30am Not good for flights!

You get what you’re paying. The room smell like cigarettes and mildew. The bathroom had hair on the floor before we even got there. The drawers had food envelopes.

The good: It’s close to the highway and several fast food options. Target is 5 min away. The room is a decent size, with a living room area, desk, and kitchenette. The thermostat works perfectly. There’s plenty of parking. The so-so: it seems to attract a very 2-star hotel type of crowd. Lots of noise, bonnets and pajamas in common areas, breakfast area is way too small for the number of people who dine in. It was terribly overcrowded with tons of noise and horseplay and yelling. Breakfast was decent: the usual waffle makers, powdered eggs, ashy looking pork sausage that tasted better than it looked, muffins, bagels, and cereal. The bad: Terrible water pressure and the shower is warm, not hot. The toilet tissue and Kleenex are both single-ply. I think the worst part was the staff who checked us in and the extra fee they tack on. Expedia does tell you there’s a $16 fee but the listing says that parking, WiFi breakfast are included in the room, when the hotel tells you the $16 fee covers parking, WiFi and breakfast. Additionally, the guy checking me in said there was a $16 fee and a $100 incidentals fee. I asked, “a $100 fee or a credit card hold??” He said a hold and rolled his eyes as though I was annoying for asking the question. This is definitely more 2-star than 3-star hotel. If you’re only staying one night, or budget is an issue, or you have a lot of children, it may be a good option. If you prefer a real 3-star, this isn’t it.

First stay at a Sonesta. Would stay again. Room was well laid out, comfortable. Sheets and towels were sparkling white. Bed pillows comfortable. The only negative is that the room didn't smell nice. There was a stale odor throughout the rooms. Needs room spray or something between guests. Appreciated the shuttle to and from the airport. Thank you for that service. Didn't have time for the breakfast, flight left very early.
