Welcome to Lyndhurst House. This charming 2 storey "old" colonial Bahamian styled home, downtown Nassau was built in the eighteen hundreds and is located in the historic and commercial district of the city, exposing its colonial beauty and botanical charm.
Lyndhurst House is approximately 3,900 sq.ft. of luxurious living, bold tropical interiors furnished with an Island flair, this is an amazing Caribbean house. Every room is well appointed and congenial in size, complemented with warm wooden and ceramic floors. Lyndhurst House is perfect for family vacation and entertaining. Enjoy a game of pool or relax in the Sunroom overlooking the botanical garden with afternoon tea or an evening of refreshments. The large covered balcony is an ideal lounge area to kick back with a glass of wine, a quite read or for simply basking.

The Nassau Historical Society and Museum which was founded in 1959. Here you can find more than 500 years of Bahamian history.
The Nassau Public Library and Museum founded in 1837 and was used as a colonial jail house dating back to 1797.
The Queen Staircase also known as the 66 steps was carved by slaves between 1793 and 1794.
Fort Fincastle was built in 1793 to protect historical Nassau and its harbour from invading forces during that era.
Bay Street, which is the Main Street of the City of Nassau, also the Islands oldest thoroughfare and here public transportation is easily available between 6am-7pm. Enjoy duty free shopping, exotic restaurants, sightseeing and night life.
And then there is the World famous Straw Market a must experience, where you will find local hand carvings, crafts and hand made straw works.
It's a short walking distance to Paradise Island Bridge where you can experience the local fish market at the Potters Cay Dock, or take a scenic water taxi ride to Paradise Island, Atlantis Resort and Casino.
You're also in walking distance to Junkanoo and Western Esplanade Beaches and also the famous fish fry at Arawak Cay, a popular local hangout with lots of local food and drinks, fun for the whole family.
Experience the spirit of our annual Boxing and New Years Day Junkanoo parade. Lyndhurst House is on the Junkanoo route which allows you to be apart of the pulsating excitement of the Junkanoo parade.
