Disappointed
The pictures on the website are not up to date. We were very disappointed in the uncleanliness of the property. The owners seemed to leave this potentially beautiful property to be left in disarray.
When we arrived to the property and walked on the back deck the BBQ pit was rusted out and could not be used. As we entered the back door and walked into the kitchen there was a small approximately 3 inch wide hole in the wooden floor. The kitchen counters, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator handles were sticky and clumped with dirt. We had to clean the dirt before using the kitchen. In addition, there were many opened partially used food items in the refrigerator, freezer, and storage shelves.
The lights flickered in every room we were in.
The bathroom in the downstairs bedroom was a DIY remodel gone wrong, and a semi-dried used wash cloth was found in the shower. The upstairs stand alone shower had bugs. We had to spray our disinfectant spray and clean it before use.
The upstairs bedroom with the wet room had excessive dust and spider webs. There was also the sound of a critter or small animal running through the wall behind the headboard.
The outside gazebo area was dilapidated and could not be used. There was a very small area with a river view but the website made it seem like it was expansive.
It’s sad because this property has so much potential.
