Retro gem downtown
Boutique style hotel with really cool retro decor. Rooms are small but you’re in downtown Chicago so that’s expected. Staff is super nice. Excellent value and location. Will not hesitate to stay here again for our next Cubs pilgrimage trip!

Interesting experience but difficult to describe. Has a fun and progressive vibe. Like a Hard Rock Hotel but better. Fun decor, very clean, quiet, great cocktail lounge, perfect location one block from Eataly and two blocks from Michigan Avenue. No food services but a coffee and pastry shop next to the lobby. Complimentary coffee in the rooms or in the lobby would be the only missing amenity. Thoroughly enjoyable experience in the great city of Chicago.

Expect little and you will get it. There will be no assistance with your bags. No help with parking. Our room looked directly into the parking garage on one side and another guest’s room on the other. There was no natural light. When we asked to upgrade we were told that Expedia users couldn’t do that (as though Expedia was some kind of low rent bargain hunting website). The desk clerk was thoroughly unpleasant. I’ve stayed at other Acme properties and expected better.

A very nice, newish hotel with a very mod feel. Staff friendly and helpful. Room nicely designed and comfortable -- very stylish! Within easy walking distance from many great sights - Magnificent Mile, Riverwalk, Driehaus Museum, etc. Great stay!

Likes:Trendy Hotel. Media were they on picture taking. Awesome location to see everything. Jerome was a great host. Staff was pleasant. Hotel was clean. Area was safe. Shopping and dining all around everything walkable even a grocery store. Dislikes: No parking available from the hotel you get a discounted rate that wasn't much of a discount. parking in the area is very expensive you're better off commuting in if you don't mind bus, train and walking everywhere. Honestly everything is in walking distance downtown. Do your research to see where you would like to visit honestly this is right in the middle of everything so unless you want something on the outskirts you're better off taking the train in from your flight because you will be paying for parking to hold a car in every single venue. No breakfast included at all there are websites that stated they're included that is false you have to pay for a little one breakfast nook in the lobby but no continental breakfast or anything like that. My room was facing a parking lot they stated it was in the back so I had to have my window closed on one side I need to have the other window open facing the end part of the hotel. I wish I could have had both windows open to not feel so enclosed. There is a privacy screen to blackout looking in and out. Overall experience I would definitely come back and book now that I know what's expected with a rental car and breakfast.

We picked this hotel specifically because of the neighborhood it’s in, which has a ton of restaurants and access to multiple transit lines. However, we ended up appreciating the fun design of the rooms that actually had a bit of character. Plus, the city view from our window was excellent. We’d stay here again!
