Treated Father-in-law to a Packer’s Game!
We wanted a place to stay not too far away from Green Bay and this worked perfect! Near the interstate but far enough removed from the bustle. The place was just perfect for our family. There were 9 of us ages 7 years all the way to 76! Enjoyed the paddle boat, had a fire in the fire pit, played card games on the deck and corn hole. When it was game day, we were only about 45 min away.

Perfect Weekend
Wonderful property, the house was stocked with all basic necessities, including an iron (quite helpful for our group as we were attending a local wedding). Sitting on the patio with a cup of coffee watching the sun come up over the lake each morning was perfect!

Fun place for a girls weekend!
The space was laid out really well to accommodate a large group of people with a smaller square footage. It was conveniently located near many activities and had gorgeous views on the water. The outdoor space was perfect for playing lawn games. The proximity to the train was a bit of a surprise, but didn’t bother the group too much. Overall great place to stay!

Beautiful Lake Home
We all enjoyed our stay at the beautiful lake home. We were there for work, so it was perfect for that. If we were going to be there for relaxation, there wouldn't have been enough room for all of us to hang out indoors. The living room could have been a little larger, but that is coming from a city girl. All of the guys spent their time out on the lake fishing, so it worked out very well for us. :-) Cozy, Comfortable, and Fantastic!

Fun 4th of July Weekend!
Overall the property was what we expected based on the reviews and online photos. Below is a list of pros and cons: Pros: Spacious home even though it on the smaller size, since it was remodeled it felt welcoming and the sleep arrangements were fine for our group. Nice to be on water with large backyard + fire pit It was close to where we saw fireworks, the baseball stadium, + grocery shopping Inside was pretty clean / comfortable We had fun using the bags and all the water crafts! Cons: We’re in nature so it’s to be expected to have bugs but it seemed like the outside wasn’t maintained and it was hard to use all the furniture without having to deep clean it ourselves, lots of bugs and cobwebs but we managed If you want to swim, you’ll have to go far out from the dock due to the algae.

Super cute home
The house is so cute, and the beds and rooms are wonderful, but it was much smaller than the pictures indicated and it was not stocked as well as others that we stayed in. We struggled to find a lot of basic things. The appliances were TOP notch, the view was amazing, overall, it was a great stay.

Was a wonderful location for our family vacation
The house is beautiful! They have truly thought of everything you would need. They remodeled the entire house in such a way that it just makes sense! The outside areas are beautiful! The only down side was the lake was really yucky while we were there, and we were really close to the train and highway. So while it didn’t bother us, if you are looking for that “middle of no where quiet” while outside…you will be disappointed. For the lake, we had envisioned letting the kids swim in the lake, but that wasn’t an option. However we loved taking the kayaks out on the water! We would stay there again. It was just a short drive to down town Appleton and the house was great!

4th of July Family Get Together 2023
Pictures don't do this VRBO justice. It easily accommodated our group of 9. Sleeping arrangements were good. House spacious, clean and had new decorations and appliances. This home fulfilled all of our requirements. The house had a private boat dock which gave us ongoing access to the lake. So much fun!! We were able to tube, paddle board, wake board, etc. on the lake. The lake was NOT busy and allowed for lots of fun. The property was large and we played bags(provided) dice, games and had a fire in the fire pit. (Watched the fireworks from the "pit"). The kitchen is fully stocked and necessities are ample. There is a train nearby but the lull of the train (when it occasionally went by) was sort of comforting and not in the least a bother or annoyance. The neighborhood was pleasant. I highly recommend this location for a fun get away with water access, huge lawn area and a very comfortable home. Hugh thanks to the owners who were also very assessable and friendly. We had a great time creating memories with our family.

Great place for a fun stay!
Very clean and great use of space in this cozy home. Close to many places and only a short drive to some great fun. We went in Winter and enjoyed a spa day along with some ax throwing in Appleton. Bedrooms are located away from the gathering area which was very nice. Bunk room was utilized by the younger members of our group, which was very fun for them as well. Highly recommend!

Family Get Together and Packer Game
We greatly enjoyed our stay. This home is beautifully remodeled and the bunk room is a fantastic design! Easy to get to Packers game and close to shopping. You can feel and hear the train which we actually found fun. We didn’t use the water at this time of year but really enjoyed the beautiful sun rise, watching fish jump, geese swim and squirrels playing. Home is new to VRBO so I’m sure there will be more supplies in the future. I would recommend this home and stay there again if the opportunity arises. It was a great base for a family trip!

Mediocre at best
My family and I wanted a nice weekend getaway up north on a long weekend. Unfortunately, the pictures and listing aren’t what we experienced. The house was very dirty, amenities that were offered to be used for broken or dirty. The exterior was unusual to dirty chairs, cushions and mildew on deck and patio. It was very noisy with house between two main interstate and multiple trains running on a track behind the home. I would not recommend this home for a weekend stay as you’ll be disappointed in your stay on an overpriced rental.

Good time, nice house and great hosts
The house was exactly as described. Plenty of room for all of us. House was stocked with everything a person needs. Owners answered all our questions in a timely manner and were great to work with. Other reviews complain about the algae, but that is an issue along the entire bank of that part of the lake. Once you get out aways, you can boat and swim with no issues, others were doing the same. Would rent again

Wonderful Communication. Wonderful stay!!
After missing two years of gathering due to COVID, my family (four adult children and their children) were eager to have time together. We have a ski boat, and we wanted to have access to water as well as plenty of space for the littles to run. We got both in this VRBO. Gwen and Chad (the owners of the property) could not have been kinder. Gwen was willing to talk with me by phone before we arrived to help me understand what we might expect. We were not familiar with the area, and she was absolutely wonderful to us. When we arrived at the house (early) Chad and his daughters were cleaning. We wanted to simply drop the boat so that we might be able to explore the area. It was no problem. Chad apologized profusely that they were still cleaning (it was 12:30 p.m. and we were not to check in until 4 p.m.-- absolutely not his fault!) Regardless, heoffered that we absolutely could leave the boat, and in fact, if we wanted to, we could park the boat in the garage. My husband was delighted. The bunk room brought great joy to our grandkids. Two patios offered space for meaningful conversation between family members, as well as leisurely coffee time appreciating the sunrise over the lake. The house itself is lovely with plenty of natural light! The yard offers a tremendous amount of space with a fire pit and several adiraondack chairs, where we enjoyed a fire and s'mores each night. An outside eating patio with table, chairs, and grill made our meals feel like we really WERE on vacation, and having a washer and dryer (with five grandchildren) made all of our lives easier! There is a dock (which we used) although there is algae and undergrowth prevalent along the entire shoreline. When you get out into the main channel of the lake, this is a non-issue. A couple of my kids kayaked (available at the house) from the dock. Great fun was had by all. I would highly recommend Gwen and Chad and this delightful home if you're looking for a relaxing, easy, meaningful getaway.

Great place with both nature and small town vibes
We were here with a few friends and it was a great stay! It’s in a place where you can get a little bit of nature and a little bit of Main Street Appleton. The bars/breweries/restaurants are only 10 minutes away! And a golf course 15 minutes away. On top of that we had a little chunk of nature with this place. The water wasn’t swimmable during our stay but there were paddle boats and kayaks provided. There’s also a fire pit and nice patio areas. The inside of the house was top notch. Nice appliances, bathrooms and bedrooms. Would stay here again.

Weekend on the Lake
Overall beautiful property that can accommodated a beautiful weekend with family and friends. Be sure to pack your bikes as there are trails galore to adventure. The only heads up is the lake access isn’t swimmer friendly and tough to get water craft through the under growth. Gwen was a dream to work with. We would definitely consider renting again when in the area.

WARNING: Please save yourself the trouble, look elsewhere!
1. Our experience of what happened/our interactions with the host: a. Unable to get ahold of the host in a timely manner. Once we arrived at the property, it was a huge disappointment to realize that the description was not accurate - see specific details below. VRBO had made multiple attempts and sent an email trying to reach the host without success. b. We spent about 3.5 hours after arriving on a late Friday afternoon trying to resolve the situation (including being on hold and waiting for the host to respond), only to have the host's husband trying to intimidate us with an aggressive tone using phrases such as “I have run multiple businesses, buddy!”. c. The host insisted on not canceling the reservation on their end, due to fears of negatively impacting their renter rating. The only option they gave us was to cancel on our end and take a cleaning fee refund so that they could rent out the property for Father’s Day weekend. This offer is about a 10% refund for a situation that had created a lot of stress for our family’s attempt to celebrate Father’s Day, and had us feeling trapped for about 3.5 hours without a resolution. We did not agree. d. As a result, we had to scramble to book another accommodation which resulted in an additional 2 hours of driving late into the night. 2. The pictures are misleading. a. There were spiders and ants inside the home. Spider webs outside the home including the patio furniture. One of the vents was not installed, and the others had heavy dust. This would have triggered a dust allergy response for 2 of our family members if we had stayed. b. There are loud freeways right by the house. A main North and South freeway is approximately 115ft from the property, with a railroad track in-between the property and the freeway. There was also another East and West freeway approximately 0.5 miles South of the property. It was so loud that we had a hard time hearing each other in our regular voices. c. Prior to arriving, we had connected with the host and were promised that we were able to dock the boat. This was not true, as the weeds were overgrown with no path. d. The front of the house and the neighborhood were not accurately depicted in the photos. The house has a low ceiling, and when running the faucet, it smells like mildew/sewage. We hope this review can help others avoid ruining their family vacation while risking significant financial loss.
