My experience at this resort in Jamaica had both positives and negatives, though the cons stood out more.
Starting with the negatives, one of the bartenders at the main lobby bar was extremely rude while I was ordering a drink. She even ended up yelling at me, which led to a heated exchange and ruined my day. In addition, the room had several issues—the bathroom was not working properly, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Despite maintenance coming three times, it remained faulty, forcing us to manually add water to make it work. The AC also wasn’t functioning, and I heard similar complaints from other guests. The safe in our room was initially broken; maintenance attempted to fix it twice, and it finally worked for the last four days of our six-day stay.
On the positive side, a few staff members in different departments were incredibly kind, which helped make up for some of the resort’s shortcomings. Some of the à la carte restaurant options were decent, but the buffet food was repetitive and did not match the price we paid. The beach itself was stunning, though relaxation was often interrupted by persistent vendors offering marijuana, with no intervention from security.
Overall, while the resort had some beautiful aspects, the service and maintenance issues significantly impacted the experience.
