Staff excellent. Toilet was tricky to flush and desperately needs to be repainted and drywall in spots in the hotel room. There were water marks from old leaks and rust. But great location and reasonable price for the area.

Great trip and helpful service
Property was in an excellent location in between most important destinations. We were in town for a Saints game, and this was ideally located close to the quarter and close to the stadium and WW II museum. Property was a little aged you could tell but relative to the age of most properties in New Orleans it was in good condition. Our flight arrived at 7AM and we got to the property at 8 AM. Check in was at 3p and they let us check in upon arrival. Made for a great surprise welcome as we were just hoping to drop bags until we could check in. I woukd stay here again for sure.

NEVER AGAIN!!!
The room had rorn carpet in the entrance way and the carpet was soiled in areas. I had ro call for a plumbing issue, and water in the bathroom would srop after running for so long. Wasn't worth the amount spent on this place. I WILL NEVER STAY AT ANOTHER BEST WESTERN RUN PROPERTY. OVER RATED!! OVER CHARGED!! WASN'T WORTH IT!!!

Good location for Crescent City Blues and BBQ Fest
The location was right. The room was ok but 2 bulbs were burnt out in lights, there was no soap in shower or sink. The hot water never did get hot in the shower. You can't see out of the windows (film on windows needs to be replaced). There is a stairwell at each end. They were Filthy!! Garbage, bags, etc. in the north one and I don't know what was on the floor on levels 1 and 2 in South stair but it was nasty!! I had to put my shoulder into opening the door (which went to an alley outside) and it did not close and lock so I had to force it. The cafe was excellent. Front desk never asked about my stay when I checked out, just took the key cards and said Thanks (guess they were afraid to ask).

Well first let me say the staff were phenomenal especially Ruben, everyone was nice and polite. Now the facility itself was a mess. The rooms are old and outdated, there were stains all on the carpet n the mattress, and there was blood on the floor bathroom walls. There was also no cover on the mattress, and the towels and rags were like sand paper. Also the toilet was running and my man had to take the back off and fix it constantly. The showers were warm and the pressure was trash. The best thing about the hotel was the staff and location it was very convenient to everything.

I reserved a king bed and when checked in, there was no king beds available. My reservations were made at least 3 weeks ahead of time. The clerk on duty was going to charge me for a double that was higher, despite it being their fault for not having what I reseved. There were guest outside the door smoking marijuana. The clerk also told me to check back and they would be sure to have me a king bed the following day. But they did not and the next onsite clerk stated they didn't and wouldn't have any available for that night of stay. The clerk even told me the parking garage, thats a block over was only $25 for the 2 days as long as I did not move my vehicle. Well it was not....it was $90 for both days. The hotel is good and need MAJOR updates. The bathroom had hair in the tub and on the floor, that was STILL there the next day that housekeeping came in the room. The shower did not work at all. Even after attempting to pull the part down for the shower to come, the water only came out the top of the spout. The first night didn't have any face towels which I had to get from the front desk. The elevator was extremely slow. It was quiet and convenient location for the Saints game. But I would not stay here again!!!

I stayed at Blake from Friday 9/13- Monday 9/16. I arrived a few hours before check in. Since I wanted to start enjoying the city I asked the front desk if they can hold my bag since I was really early. The gentleman said that he might be able to let me just check in. I got my room early. Which was great! The room appeared to not have been serviced thoroughly, though. The front desk quickly fixed all that. Keep in mind I was offered a room several hours before check in, so maybe the cleaning staff didn't get to the room yet. The room overall wasn't bad in appearance. The lobby area is beautiful with a cafe (with a bar) adjacent to the front desk. The food at the cafe was great! This was my third time in New Orleans. The hotel is a walkable distance to Bourbon. Not sure if the streetcars stop near the hotel, but they do pass in front of it. The immediate area around the hotel seems safe, but as you walk towards Bourbon you must be aware of your surroundings. Overall it was a good stay.

I really enjoyed the stay. Registration went well, wonderful staff each time I came in or out I was greeted. We have stayed here before. Everything is within walking distance especially Mother's Restuarant, lol. I read some reviews that said the water did not get hot, but we did not have that problem, I think that was user error because the faucet has a safety feature a lever you have to move to get hot water. We really enjoyed our stay and if we go back to New Orleans we will stay here again. Thank you Blake Hotel
