If you want old fashioned classy service, the Monteleone is your hotel. The rooms may be a bit 'shabby chic" in appearance, but they are clean and well equipped. From the moment the doorman opens the door for you (and who still has a doorman?) to the bellman who helps you with your bags to the front desk staff and on and on, only friendly, knowledgeable personnel. If you want to "feel" like you are in NOLA, there is no better place to stay.

This was a beautiful place to stay it was a block over from Bourbon street wasn’t as loud or busy, very walkable only problem is it’s a beautiful bar in the hotel the carousel and it’s super popular buts it’s very hard to get in because it’s open to the public and very well know I was not able to enjoy it, it’s a very vintage style hotel just remember that

The hotel itself was beautiful and very clean. It is within walking distance to everything in the French quarter so once we dropped the car off to be parked in the parking garage didnt need it til we left. The spa and the carousel bar were awesome and definitely worth checking out. We never did eat at the restaurant in the hotel but we only heard good things about it. The thing that makes this hotel Amazing is the staff. Everyone, and i mean every single person that works there that we talked to, is So polite and helpful. They made us feel welcome and like they actually cared how we felt, which is so rare nowadays. My wife and I both agree we would definitely stay here again and it is 100% because of the staff. If we could give this place more stars we would have.

Spouse is disabled and they met us with a wheelchair in the hotel parking garage and took her inside. This is really one of the best stays we have had anywhere in NO in 40 years.

Very central location - close enough to all the action without hearing it while you sleep. The hotel room was clean and the staff were all very friendly. Highly recommend.

The Monteleone is a beautiful piece of New Orleans history. The Carousel bar has always been a favorite of mine in nola and staying at the Monteleone is one of the best memories of this colorful city. The room service is delicious as well, try the truffle fries and the creme brule!

Was a nice hotel in a great location. Perfect distance from everything we wanted to do. Was close to literally a plethora of great restaurants and shopping. Was very convenient to Bourbon st. Tons of eclectic shopping as well as the standard tourist type shopping. The hotel itself had a killer old world feel to it ant the staff was always super friendly and accommodating. Just a great overall experience for our first but not last visit to New Orleans. We will definitely stay here again.
