If you want old fashioned classy service, the Monteleone is your hotel. The rooms may be a bit 'shabby chic" in appearance, but they are clean and well equipped. From the moment the doorman opens the door for you (and who still has a doorman?) to the bellman who helps you with your bags to the front desk staff and on and on, only friendly, knowledgeable personnel. If you want to "feel" like you are in NOLA, there is no better place to stay.

Part of a girls trip stay! The only problem we encountered was the valet did not get all my luggage in the car so I drove three hours home before I realized I was missing a bag. Took several call before I spoke to someone who could help. They found my bag in the garage and mailed it back very quickly!

Classic warm hospitality. Good amenities
Classic, well-located, clean, gracious. Close enough to FR Qtr to be accessible- far enough that the Bourbon St revelry didn’t disturb us too much. The recent “boil water” incident was handled well. Walkable to WW2 museum and Garden district - for the hardier (we did). It is an older property. But we found the sound proofing was good. If we had a problem (refrigerator ), it was handled promptly. Rooftop pool and modest athletic facility were excellent for early morn workout. Spa massage was excellent.
