Don't bother. There are a lot nicer places to stay for the money. With a lot less headache to try to check in and alot more of advertised amenities. Even when paying for the king suit, it's just a big concrete room with bad paintings on the wall and an uncomfortable bed with a view of the back side of the building across the alley. For the nearly 350$ I dropped on it, we could've stayed at the Eliza Jane, and not had to stand on the street for an hour trying to get a hold of someone to check us in, nor would we have had to walk a 1/4 of a mile to another location to actually see a clerk, after a whole other hotel chains clerk explained to us where we needed to go. It's just a bad experience all around.
The room was large we had a mini fridge but no microwave only bad thing was we had no hot water on one of our days and barely had hot water the last stay of our visit everything else was amazing
Great location, very clean place, professional staff. Shower didn't work well, toilet leaked and mattress was too soft.

Good hotel for price. Hotel was about 5 minute walk to French quarter. It was overall clean besides a couple areas but nothing crazy. Staff was very friendly and willing to help. International hotel staff were very friendly as well. He gave me a taxi and let me leave my bags there before I left for my flight. Room was nice but a couple issues. Toilet would constantly flush water, the shower had two shower heads that were angled which was weird, and it felt very moist in the room plus hotel. Other than that it was good. The area around the hotel was under construction so I had to walk through an alley but it was safe and not bad at all. A little confusing where to check in at.
The hotel was really nice for the price besides a few mishaps. I would book again!

The road in front of the property was being redone so there was no access to drive up to. Had to park a few blocks away and walk luggage to the hotel. I called a few times to verify parking and it wasn’t clear as to where and how to park or the distance we’d have to travel with luggage.
Check in took awhile, the front desk attendant called someone on the phone and didn’t really explain anything to us. When I went to leave the attendant told me that we didn’t have a card on file and the room wasn’t fully paid for. When I checked in I provided a card and verified the room was paid in full as I paid via a third party. Again the attendant wasn’t clear on the information and didn’t provide any solutions and made me feel like it was my fault a card didn’t get saved on file when I provided a card for deposit and prepaid the room.
The first night I tried to use the stairs and the exit was completely blocked off because of construction outside. I brought this up as a concern as the stairs are also labeled as the fire exit if their had been an emergency it could have been tragic.
Beside those concerns the room was beautiful, clean and a great location. The house keeping staff was very kind.
We had a hard time finding the property bc the name isn’t on our he building and the address wasn’t visible but overall we had a great stay. The hotel bar was at another location and I didn’t know that prior to my stay but it was literally across the street. I would definitely stay again
Construction was a problem. Everything else was great

Disliked: Room comfort
Loft 523 is not properly advertised, functioning more like an air BnB, it’s an extension of International House.
The rooms are poorly lit with cleanliness on the borderline. The door needed to be adjusted and did not want to open, close, or lock easily. Upon closer inspection, nearly all aspects of the bathroom were in need of maintenance. The toilet continually sucked water due to a worn down sensor, and the bathtub was in need of a need clean. The design of the shower involves two unadjustable small shower heads, either of which are angled for a thorough wash.
The room itself felt like the echo of a glory day, lacking in anything above minimal comfort with inadequate or nonfunctional lighting. The bed linens and couch felt just clean enough to be acceptable, though not without some question of freshness.
1 star, First, staff review, what staff there was no staff at all during our stay. There was a front desk lady when we first checked in and then never saw her or any other staff during our stay. Second, property looks like it’s been vacant for years. Felt very unsafe because we were literally the only ones in the building. Our door was broken and literally had to slam the door as hard as you could to shut it. If you want to feel haunted vibes and unsafe stay here lol you will most likely be the only guest there.
The lady working the desk in the lobby to this building was a super star (LaSondra). This building is run remotely by International House, one block away, but there was no notice on the booking page that the street was torn out and guests would have to drag their bags down a street under construction. The elevator, hallways and room were not clean, and the Studio we rented had not real privacy curtains, just shear panels. Also, cable TV never worked. Great location, but the owners need to be more transparent with the street condition and remote access and need to put more attention into building cleanliness and amenities functionality.
This hotel was really lovely! The ladies at the front desk were always super helpful and welcoming whenever I came in. My room was hands down one of the best I’ve stayed in.

This lodging is no longer owned by the original management group. The lounge is closed - all you get is a room. Staffing at the front desk is minimal - often there is no one there and you have to go to the International House for service. Very disappointing experience
