Even though we had room reservations from 6 months prior, our room was given away as weekend was a busy one for hotels in New Orleans. One of us had to sleep on floor, no extra blankets provided, we had to beg for them. Room outdated

The hotel was very clean, but it’s time for an update to the bathrooms and carpets. My room was on the side of the river, so I had a beautiful view, but a train would pass several times in the middle of the night and blow its horn several times waking me up. The doors in hallway also slam loudly when they shut. Bring earplugs. They have a very nice gym!

Management did a classy thing by providing the deluge of people waiting to check in on September 8th with flutes of champagne. The hotel has an excellent breakfast buffet with five star bacon and tasty beignets. The Pantry Shop has an excellent assortment of meals to go which was particularly nice considering the hurrican forced everyone to stay in the hotel Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Very comfortable room. Bottom line: This is my go-to hotel for my next visit to New Orleans.
