The hotel staff were kind, especially the front desk folks and the doormen/bellmen, but the property is quite old and my room was in an unrenovated section. Lighting was insufficient and lamps buzzed when turned on. Window overlooked a section of roof. Bathroom had not been updated and water sprayed out of the tub faucet even when shower was fully engaged. The room was not serviced over a three night stay, despite removing the hang tag from the door upon departure and being gone most of the day. Cleaning staff were present in the corridor but my room around the corner was always missed. I was too busy to address so just did without. No hand bar soap in the bathroom struck me as unusual — the body wash for the shower is also indicated for hands and there was one small bottle for a three night stay. Overall it did not live up to the expectations of an “Omni” hotel experience. It was “fine” for a basic hotel but not a 4-star experience.

Our only hotel for Nola.
The Omni is our only option for staying in the Quarter. The location is amazing. Its far enough away from Bourbon to stay quiet at night. The Staff goes above and beyond at all times. The bartenders are some of the friendliest in the city and have the BEST advice of where to go, eat, etc... The rooms are clean and well maintained and the rooftop pool is bar none the best. Pay a little extra. It's worth it!

This hotel needs a serious upgrade. Roof leaking by elevator. We had one light working in the room. I’m guessing our bathroom had not been aired out for a while as it was very damp smelling. However having said that the staff was wonderful - above and beyond! Centrally located. We had a balcony room which was awesome. Not a bad place to stay at all. Hopefully Omni will restore this great place!
