The room that I was given had an odor of stool once the bedspread was pulled back. I spoke to the clerk and she offered me sheets to change the bed. I explained to her after driving 15 hours that I was not changing sheets. Once I told her that I was checking out she then offered ma another room. I don't think I would stay here again.

When we arrived, the hotel lobby had an odd odor. Once in our room, we noticed the same odor, but stronger. The room was "damp." The sheets and floor felt wet and the oder was a mold/mildew smell. There was actual mold/mildew growing on the dresser.

Perfect for the price!
This was a great, inexpensive one night stay before our cruise in New Orleans. We felt safe in the Slidell area and it was only 30 minutes from Port of New Orleans. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the breakfast was basic, but fulfilled the purpose! I also appreciated that the hotel doesn’t require a deposit on your card, since we already had a deposit taken out for our cruise. We would definitely stay for another one night stay if we’re cruising in the area again!

Adequate. Not a 5 star hotel but fine for us
Good location to Interstate 10. Waffle House next door. Some minor maintenance issues. Toilet ran intermittently (toilet was also hooked up to the HOT water!). Shower grout and caulk kind of grimy. Bed was very comfortable. AC was quiet.

I did not like the dry room smell of the room. In Rm 122 the water did not get as hot. The pillows had an odd smell. Other than that my stay was great and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast!!

I felt the property was clean and maintained. I really liked that there was a choice of teas for breakfast. I can't drink coffee. The major area of improvement id the breakfast was a lack of protein options. No yogurt or even hard boiled eggs. I asked but "they were out". Well there is a Walmart right up the road to replenish supplies. There is no excuse for being out of healthy options. If a diabetic ate there, they would be struggling with all the high sugar, high bad carb options. It doesn't cost a lot of money to improve the options. Even the worker service men passed on all those 500 calorie muffins!

The facility was excellent and clean, easy to get on and off the highway. Staff was not friendly, poor service had some items coming up missing out of my room. Reported to desk staff and they did not call back or do an investigation.
