It was a neat old hotel, and had a historic feel. It says there is a cafe, restaurant and bar, but they are actually next door and only open in the morning. The manager, Kenya was very helpful and nice. The evening shift employees were also, but the girl in the morning definitely was not. We struggled to get warm water for showers and the toilets only flushed half the time.

We were on the first floor so we could hear the people outside yelling. Once the foot trafic slowed down, it wasn't bad. We would have stayed again, but after getting home, I had an extra $14.00 charge on my account and when I called to ask about it, I was told it was for two bottles of water we used. It was my fault for not reading the fine print on the bottles, but it also made me find other accomodations on my next trip and future trips. I don't like being tricked into extra charges, and the bottles were setting by the coffee, making it look like they were complimentary.

Excellent location, French Quarter at the walkable distance, but in a quiet area giving you a good night sleep. Streetcar (tram) is 2min away. Clean.

Very happy with my stay here. I was very concerned about safety in this area during my conference stay. You have to use your room card to even enter the lobby which is great. Everyone at the front desk was nice. It was easy to check in. The room was clean and very stylish. The bed was SUPER comfortable. There was a little sofa, fridge, and basics like body wash and makeup wipes. It was fairly quiet on all days of my stay. There were one or two seedy characters on a street nearby but they left me alone. They don't have free breakfast but the ruby slipper next door was good. I did not bring a car so I can't speak to the parking. This is in walking distance to the casino and everything one canal street, as well as the French quarter with Jackson square if you don't mind a walk. Only downsides: no microwave and an extra fees upon check in ($57 in misc fees for four nights).

YOU HAVE TO STAY HERE!!
This was a very pleasant surprise. Staff was amazing and accommodating above and beyond. Rooms were clean, up to date and very tastefully decorated. Beds were very comfortable. Many additional amenities were provided with a coffee and tea bar, along with soaps, lotions and shampoos in the bathroom. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

First time staying here and it is a great smaller hotel. Clean and location is great. Rooms are not huge but that was ok I was not in NOLA to sit in a hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised how quiet this hotel was. Almost all staff was very pleasant; only one was kinda standoffish and was looking at computer when i was talking to her. The area was safe and a short walking distance to the French Quarter. The only negative was cleanliness was good, not great, as we found a pill on bathroom floor. I would recommend larger trash container as ours were full fairly quickly.
