Hotel was transitioning from The W to Hotel De La Poste. We were informed when we arrived about the transition and the skeleton crew they were working with during that time. The transition to another brand was not the issue, it was that the hotel did not communicate this until the day before arrival and they said nothing of a reduced staff which may impact our stay. We had three rooms booked for 3 nights each. One of the rooms was not cleaned or visited by house keeping even though we asked multiple times during the day. When we returned back that evening to still find the room as we left it at 9:30am we called the front desk and was informed the house keeping crew had left. Upon checkout there were over $1,000 of charges across all three rooms that were never made. The GM was very accommodating and removed all charges, however, why were they there in the first place. Overall the hotel needs a cosmetic refresh, and the staff could use a few hospitality classes. The hotel is in a GREAT location in the French Quarter however, I think I’ll be staying at other bonvoy brands in the future.

Wonderful stay!
We came to the W New Orleans for the Eras Tour and we could not have had a better experience. We loved the location in the French Quarter. Perfect walking distance to just about anywhere we wanted to go. Our room was wonderful and the check in and check out experience was a breeze.

Quick trip with my daughters. Great room and the second best bed I have ever slept in ( mine is #1 ). Great location to everything the French quarter has to offer. It was quite in are room and the A/C worked like magic! Would suggest to all my friends that visit NOLA. Thank you!

Arrive late in the night, it was a weird set up how to park. I felt uncertain but since it was after 2am I needed to get rest from traveling all day. Got to the room and the smell of mold was terrible. I woke up to a fire alarm going off at 10 am. went to get coffee and left. I do not recommend this place at all.

Ashely is an asset to the entire brand whatever this facility does they need to make sure they keep her. There is always a difference in the level of service provided when the staff cares about the guests. Ashley made sure our stay was exceptional. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else on my next visit.
