This piece of paradise has what guests want most... peace, privacy and plenty of amenities. Most mornings start with a beautiful sunrise and a few whitetail deer roaming in the pasture. The fully equipped kitchen comes complete with a Keurig and drip coffee maker and complimentary farm fresh eggs. The dining room is great for meals with family or friends. Two living spaces offer the flexibility of reading or talking in one room and watching TV in the other. Books, games & puzzles are available for your use. The home offers high speed internet, a designated workspace upstairs and streaming stations on the TV's.
The home offers two king size beds with quality mattresses, premium linen, and both soft and firm pillows for a good night's sleep. Both bedrooms have Roku TV's. The third bedroom has a single trundle bed that pulls out to form another King size bed or keep it separate for two twins. Extra sleeping accommodations include a queen size airbed and 2) adult-size cots and can be used in the office area or in the living room. A full bathroom upstairs offers 3-in-1 body wash for men, women & children while the half bath downstairs includes a 2nd hair dryer.
The laundry has a full size washer and dryer. Five mini-split units are located in the bedrooms, living room & dining room to keep you cool in the warmer months.
The front of the house has a patio table and chairs for relaxing and there is a fire pit, chairs and roasting forks in the backyard for your campfire. Starter supplies include small quantities of laundry detergent, fabric softener, dishwasher pods, dish soap, paper towels and hand soap.
Gather around the firepit after dark and listen to the sounds of frogs & owls while you roast marshmallows and gaze at the stars.
Within a 10-15 minute ride you can go hiking on the Appalachian Trail, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary or the Pinnacle at Blue Rocks. Leaser Lake has a 4 mile trail and is great for fishing & kayaking. You can golf at Olde Homestead, try your hand at basket weaving (The County Seat), take a ride on the WK&S Railroad or visit Crystal Cave. Be sure to visit one of the local farms for fresh vegetables, freshly butchered meat or visit an orchard for berry & apple picking. Follow the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail or stop for a drink at 8 Oaks Distillery.
Just 10 miles from the I-78 and 30 minutes from Jim Thorpe, Hamburg, the Lehigh Valley, Blue Mountain Ski Resort and Bear Creek Ski Area.
Grab some sandwiches at Wanamaker's General Store and take a day trip (1-2 hours) to the Poconos, Lancaster, Philadelphia or New York City.
