What a great little hotel in the Bronx/Washington Heights. The staff is really friendly and helpful -- warmly welcomed me and even pushed the call bell for the elevator. Room is small (it's NYC) but clean and my room had a big beautiful window looking out at the Manhattan skyline in the distance. Im here for work and when I come back, I'm definitely staying here again.

We stayed at The Edge while attending an event at The Armory track & field facility. It was a great location - a very short walk from the metro stop and from The Armory. The room and hotel are pretty minimalist, but clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Front desk staff were very friendly. We'd definitely stay here again. I will add that amenities are minimal - snacks for purchase by the front desk and a gym on the lower level, no restaurant or bar. Cable tv in the room but hard to navigate the guide (didn't list channels or shows).

Location: the hotel is right next to a subway stop (168 St) and easy to get into central Manhattan, especially if you take the A express subway which cuts out a number of stops. I was wary the first couple of nights getting back late at night but if you walk quickly you'll be fine; no one interacted with me so I'd say it was a relatively safe area. If you go out early in the morning there are a number of nurses walking to work as the hotel is next to the nursing hospital and this makes the area feel quite safe as well even when it's still dark out. Overall the hotel is in a good location. The only thing I would say is the price was really quite high for a hotel 30 mins outside of Manhattan; if you could find a hotel for a similar price and size closer to the touristy areas that would maybe be better. If you can't, I'd still recommend the hotel and I would probably stay in it again. Cleanliness: overall the hotel was nice and clean; bins were emptied promptly and the bathroom cleaned spotlessly. Unfortunately I don't think the room was hoovered because when I arrived there was a line of crumbs and other people's hair all around the underneath of the bed (this was gross and I accidentally dropped my eye mask down the side of the bed one night and it came up with loads of bits on!!). There was also a small pile of crumbs by the door and this wasn't cleaned up throughout the entirety of my stay. I think the floor may have been brushed once or twice because some self-made bagel c

This hotel was right next to the A train so it was super easy to get around through the city, our room was clean and had a nice view, the lounge was also convenient for microwave use. Overall great stay for a few days!!

It was comfortable but the bed was not what I would consider a Queen size bed which is what we were expecting. Room was very small but comfortable and the bathroom was ample room and both were clean.
