There were two incidents that were unpleasant for us. I visited many places and many hotels and this time my husband and sister accompanied me. It was the first night we came back to the hotel took 4 bottles of Aquafina from the fridge and showed the receptionist, told her to put it on the card on file. We went upstairs and couldn’t even reach the door while heard our room phone was ringing, went inside the room and answered it and it was the receptionist and she said we didn’t pay for the one big bottle. I told her we only took four small bottles and no big one but she kept arguing very rudely that I didn’t pay for the big bottle. Why would i pay for 4 bottle and leave one. I told her 3 times and still she kept repeating the same and later said oh it was someone else’s, he came back. It was a misunderstanding she said. I was so mad I went down with bottles and showed her and she again said oh it was a misunderstanding with no sorry or even a smile. She offended me by falsely accusing me but didn’t even apologize for that. Next morning another lady was there, I had door-dash deliver me coffee and somehow he mishandled it and it spilled which I didn’t realized. I grab my parcel and entered the hotel reception, some coffee drops dropped on the floor without my knowledge and the lady was so annoyed and made faces. I took napkins from the lobby sat down and wiped them myself and nobody even said a word kept making faces. I stayed 4 nights but won’t be coming back.

Very convenient to LaGuardia airport and reasonably priced. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful. Having a free airport shuttle was amazing. It was also great to have coffee available 24 hours a day. Not terribly convenient for getting into the city, but could get a Lyft without any problem. The main attraction was being close to the airport when we had a 6:00 a.m. flight.

This Marriott was far sub standard for this brand. The area was isolated, the front desk ‘concierge’ said it wouldn’t be safe to walk anywhere for dinner, and there wasn’t much in the way of dining anyhow. We had food delivered. The place is small, old, and smelly. The bed was horrible. I will do anything to avoid this hotel in the future.

Pros: The shuttle is convenient. The drivers are nice. The young ladies at the front desk are helpful. The continental breakfast comes in handy. Cons: One shuttle is just an minivan and it’s not labelled with the hotel name. So you don’t know when they have arrived while you’re waiting at the airport. They never came to clean my room during my 3 day stay although they said they clean every other day. Thankfully I never ordered in so I had minimal trash. The screen on my window was taken out and placed behind the desk. I couldn’t open my window to get fresh air or else flies would come in. The elevator is rickety. I preferred taking the stairs, even with my luggage. On the morning I was leaving, someone banged on my door at 4:45am. Through the peephole, the person didn’t appear to be hotel staff. They wouldn’t identify themself when I asked. Hotel staff didn’t know who it was or why it happened.
