Great location but not the cleanest.
A great location to many popular spots. The bartender and front desk staff were so kind and personable. However our room was not very clean. Our sheets had stains on them and our air leaked so much that water got on the floor and water got inside the cubby where we stored some of our clothes.

I was expecting a higher standard of service and quality based on the images and description. There was no bellhop (which it says on their website is included), and so I received no help with getting my many heavy bags through a difficult door for luggage that had two narrow steps in front of it. Very tricky being on a busy New York street too, since the taxi has to stop in the middle of the road. The room was very small and had one tiny window which received no natural light whatsoever. Some modern amenities were lacking (eg tv streaming). The cleaning was ok, but a little strange (I always found like 5 tissues haphazardly stuffed into the top of the already relatively full tissue box, very strange.) Some of the front desk staff didn’t seem to have answers to some simple questions. However, other staff were very attentive and kind and helpful. Sometimes the restaurant was open but most of the time it was closed… went to the rooftop “bar” and there were people up there but no bar tender. I would say my stay was good, but a little bit strange! The hotel was nice, just expected more for what I paid and out of a 4 star hotel.

We loved the roof top patio. The room was small, but fine for what we needed. Room was clean and air conditioning worked great keeping us cool during a warm week in NYC. Green 6 subway line just outside the doors.

!!!Red flags!!!! Stayed in this hotel from 1Jun to 3Jun. And they hold on 100usd deposit while checking in. However, the deposit is still not released (today is 18June). Tried to contact Expedia a few times, and they said the hotel confirmed the deposit has been released. But obviously not, as I can check with my bank. I tried to contact my bank for a dispute, and they request the proof of the confirmation of releasing my deposit. So I emailed the hotel a few times, even with expedia app online chat. !!! However, the hotel never reply and disappeared! I'm not in the US and cannot call them directly. Thus, Expedia tried to call them twice. The first time they said its been released. The second time is unreachable. Still no proof until today. I've been using Expedia for more than ten years and this is the first time ever I've to chase for deposit and begging for a reply from the hotel. Really disappointed that Expedia works with this type of hotel. Guys!! It's $100!!! Don't trust this hotel and please look for another hotel in new york! Worse hotel experience ever.

Room was dismal — it was tiny, closet-like and facing a closed brick wall. They didn’t have any other rooms available so I asked for a refund and found another hotel. The staff was not particularly helpful or friendly.
