Decent location, but uncomfortable during a heat wave
Likes:Unit was clean and orderly. Walkable to many restaurants, cafes, grocery stores. Closest bus a block away, closest train 10-15 minute walk (33rd and Park). Quiet neighborhood, no problems with noise, even at street level. Quiet unit, barely heard neighbors. Felt safe walking home at 10 p.m. with children ages 9 and 13. Unit was easy to access, with clear instructions as to where to find the lock box. Dislikes:AC units were not installed. We contacted unit manager, who said it was unlikely they could have someone install on a Sunday, even though we were experiencing a heat wave with 95-100 degree weather. We installed one unit ourselves and asked for privacy during our stay, as we were away from the unit for the most part and did not want strangers in the unit with valuable equipment. Unit with one of the AC units installed was tolerable, but not comfortable. Hot water valve to unit was not opened. We called the unit manager again to address the issue, but our call was not answered or returned (she had our number, as we had been communicating about the AC units). We managed to get hot water by finding the valve and opening it ourselves. Both door handles to the bedroom were not screwed in and could be easily pulled off. Main burner to stove was not working.All of the ceramic cookware was badly scratched. We did not feel comfortable cooking with them.
